Those images are breathtaking!

What is the minimum requirements for this?  I'd like to give it a try but I don't know if either my 9800 GT 512 or 8800 GTS 640 can handle it :(.

They should do the trick but it will probably take around 3-4 hours or so to render fully.

im pretty sure that wont work. it doesnt work on my 9800GTX+ it has 512MB when i run the program i need to have at least around 800MB+ to run it
and supersonic sled i MUST have gtx4xx card or greater so thats pretty like pshh

I seen that there was a scan button that checks your system.  I guess I can't...

I wouldn't have minded waiting 3-4 hours for rendering lol, better than not being able to render at all.

I keep getting this error when I try to run this program.

Anyone have an idea on how to fix this?

I disabled both SLi and PhysX and now it works.

Rendered on my 260. Not too shabby. It wasn't fully rendered, but it still looks nice from far away.

Here's Mine! This was about 5 hours on a GTX 275.

The original was 2048x1152, but I don't know where I can upload it fullsize. Otherwise it would make great wallpaper!

lol, yeah, when the program is the window in focus and the green light goes off for good... i've yet to actually see that happen though.

Yeah me neither. I left mine running while I slept and it was still plugging away when I woke up. Which green light though? Never mind I see it, the green circle in the bottom right.

Actually no. I believe it uses unbiased rendering, which means it constantly tries to get each pixel closer and closer to the exact color, and will never stop. It's up to the viewer to determine when it's good enough. If it ever stops, it's probably because Nvidia set a time limit on this particular program.

That's interesting. I do have to say I didn't really notice a difference in running it as long as I did.

after awhile it becomes virtually imperceptible to our human eyes... especially if we're not on an IPS monitor, etc.

however, that's not to say the algorithms don't detect further accuracies that can be gained... which is pretty dang cool.

further... i love that it keeps trying until we say... okay, enough. perfection is what it strives for... i like it.

Does anyone know how he got the LEDs to appear lit?  I have tried everything with no luck.

The rendering in Design Garage looks great. It shows a huge leap from the 8 series and GTX 200 series demos. Although these seem as ground breaking as the Ultra demos that came out a while back. Can't wait to try out the Rocket Sled demo.

Anyone know how to take the raytrace function of these cards and get them to work in 3DS MAX 2010, 64 bit? I must say, i love waiting 2 minutes per frame when i am rendering something intricate. HAHA... But really, is it possible?

Yes and no. You can't render on a GPU directly from 3DS Max, but you CAN export your scene to a renderer that can! Here are the GPU renderering programs that I know of.

Gelato - Made by Nvidia. Free, but limited.

Octane - Costs. Fast, but new and untested.

Arion - Costs. Fast, flexible and proven.

Luxrender GPU - Free. Very early build, but shows a lot of potential. My personal favorite.

And, I don't want to seem like I'm thread-jacking, so here's another one I made!

Thanks guys!

Nope, that was a single GTX 275 that ran for about 9 hours. That may seem like a long time, but believe me, in the 3D rendering world, 9 hours is nothing!
