Is anyone else experiencing high cpu usage and spikes with PX1? I'm having the issue on many different fresh installs and versions. It most often sits around 3-5% which is in the acceptable range for a lightweight agent of any sorts, but sometimes it spikes for extended periods of time to 10-12%, which is really high for something meant to run in the background. (this is on a 2080ti ftw3, for what it's worth)

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Might help to list your OS..But are you running the latest version of Windows (type winver in search) with updates installed and is PX1 the latest, Standalone or Steam version?

There is a 4 page thread on it here you might poke through, and probably more if you do a Forum Search.

On win 10 pro version 1809, build 17763.775. I'm running the standalone version as I'd prefer avoid running it on steam. Thanks for linking the thread though. I had done a quick search and didn't come across that one. Seems like they may have eliminated the issue at one point and it has returned, perhaps? Pretty common in app development ^_^

I will note, what I have noticed is any time a setting is changed at all the CPU usage spikes, so I'm wondering if perhaps any time a new fan curve point is hit when fans are on auto it does the same thing.

I don't know what it is, but Precision seems to have more problems with Win10 Pro than anything.

I reported this again here https://forums.evga.com/EVGA-Precision-X1-1000-m2994092.aspx
    https://support.microsoft.com/en-ca/help/4524147

High CPU usage is back again with new windows updates (started happening with this patch September 23, 2019—KB4522016 (OS Build 18362.357)). I also contacted EVGA support they are not helpful because they dont see this problem on their end. They told me their software team will contact me but almost 2 weeks without any reply. I also think nobody from EVGA even read this forums at all (software forums).

What Hardware polling period are you running & How Many items are checked/ being followed in HWM ?

I poll at 3000 ms (3 sec) & only "follow" a few Critical items with HWM (6 GPU function)
