I've noticed all the issues with the px1 software and the newest is still not a good version and has its flaws, first evga needs to give a better explanation on how to save profiles, when to right click, left click, or what the save process should be because i can't figure it out but maybe its because the app is still flawed. When you click save after making changes the app actually closes, then it needs to be restarted and when restarted none of the settings you made are still there. I'm running 2 RTX 2080ti FTW3's with the EVGA Nvlink. Also several times the app freezes and LED sync stops working. Windows 10 64 Bit, Nvidia Drivers 416.34  H2o cooled 7980XE, 16GB DDR4 4000MHz, 1600 Watt Power Supply, Rampage VI Apex, Samsung EVO 970 SSD, Dual 2080ti FTW3's.

Yep - still broken. ICX2 requires PX1 if you want to do ANYTHING with the card, such as overclock, monitor etc.
The 2 go hand in hand. What I didn’t know before I dropped $1,350 was that PX1 was a giant piece of broken crap in a permanent beta state.
I would’ve just bought a non ICX2 card had I known this and just used afterburner.
I’ve had 30+ eVGA cards and this will be my last if they cannot fix this awful problem.

iCX2 Technology and iCX2 Cooling are not the same.
iCX2 Cooling is Cooling Only XC Cards
iCX2 Technology is the Added Sensors on the PCB and yes Cooling. XC2 & FTW3 ULTRA Cards
I think EVGA could have come up with a different Name on the Cards with the Added Sensors.

    More on iCX2 Technology
    https://www.evga.com/technology/icx2/
I have to say from what EVGA Posted I thought that all the RTX Cards had iCX2 Technology but no they started with only iCX2 Cooling.

    Incredible Cooling
The next generation in cooling is here with EVGA iCX2. This new cooling solution offers improved cooling, lower noise levels, real time wattage monitoring and 9 additional thermal sensors for ‘Peace of Mind Gaming.’ www.evga.com/icx2

Then this is on the Bottom of the page.
*iCX2 Cooling products do not include additional sensors or a safety fuse. Fans may be asynchronously controlled through Precision X1.

This latest version of Precision X1 beta is still broken as others has said already. Losing fans and sensors are common problem with it. I switched to MSI burner for now until this gets fixed. I have uninstalled it until it is working properly.

    LOL
Yeah, peace of mind my $1,350 GPU is going to burn my house down because fans 2 and 3 stop working if the perfect button combo, dance, say the alphabet backwards wasn’t done at every boot.

Think I answered it myself.  Whatever product you are interested in...check specs and then features.  Under features it will either say ICX2 Technology or ICX2 Cooling.  If only cooling...fans should be synchronous and not require to use PX1,  should be able to use MSI Afterburner...ICX2 Technology would require PX1

EVGA makes THE worst software I've ever seen. Just use MSI Afterburner.

That's fine except for the folks that kind of need to be able to control the three fans on their card.
The latest Beta of PX1 seems to at least be behaving better for me. Have actually had 2 profiles saved since getting the latest version and they are still there and working. <fingers crossed>.

I don’t have these problems. My fans stay on even after reboot and my custom fan curve is saved even after reboot. For anyone updating their MCU profile please disable your antivirus software it will block the update. I think that’s where some people are having issues

I'm using PX1 0.3.5.1 and suddenly it stopped recognizing my card as the FTW3 and as a regular? 2080 Ti.. only 2 fans shown and only GPU temps shown.  Reboot doesn't seem to fix it.  Any ideas besides wait for the next revision?

Yeah, uninstall the px1, turn off the computer, unplug for 1 minute, turn back on, reinstall the px1.
