Well some typical EVGA news the P67 FTW will be in stock "within next 1-2 weeks." So how little does EVGA care about its customers?

Well I PM'd Jacob regard this issue and will report back if or when I get a replay. I have heard the "in 2 more weeks" line for the last 4 months and I am becoming annoyed depending on Jacobs answer or lack there of I will stay with EVGA or go get an Asus Max IV

EVGA fails so so so hard right now. I am so happy im sitting here on my gigabyte board, sporting their badge inside my case, instead of waiting for their mysterious BS comments to possibly arise as to when, and **** is going on with this board.

This one goes down as one of the most epic release fails I know of in modern motherboard history. Im not saying the board won't be great, I am referring specifically to the way they have handled this matter as a whole. Im pissed off with evga, as you can probably tell, and even your most loyal customers are getting there too. WAKE UP EVGA.

I wouldn't be surprised if they forget about P67 and just release Z68 boards.

They'll release P67s. I'm sure they'll also release Z68s.

In case some people forget how businesses work, here's a quick checklist:
  1. spend money on resources and materials
  2. make, then sell, products/services
  3. profit
EVGA like other businesses want lots of number 3 with as little 1 and 2 as possible.

With the P67 boards, there's a lot of 1 and 2 and no 3 right now. Do you think they're thrilled about that? While they have outstanding customer service and a great reputation, they're vastly more eager to finally release this product than you are to buy it in aggregate at this point.

While this has not been anywhere close to a stellar product release, discouraging them even more when we know they're working as hard as possible does nothing to help the situation.

Posting comments like "don't make me do it... i will... i'll get me that maximus... you'll rue the day i did it! *shakes fist*" C'mon folks, do you really think that'll be the comment that makes EVGA say "well, we've held out long enough... maybe we should release all the stored up product we've been sending on as a part of our nefarious scheming to irritate our customer base."

And to those who sit around acting self-righteous because they bought a competitor's board... more power to you! At this point you're a lost sale so there is no more incentive to cater to your needs. So both groups of folks are unproductive in making the problem better. I understand the frustration, I'm ready to buy too, but please for the love act like grown-ups and have a little perspective.

Well that's it for me.  I have everything but the motherboard for my new build.  I am ordering the Maximus IV  so I can get started.  I was worried that losing members of the past motherboard team would affect EVGA and apparently it has.  I was going to be alittle worried about the new boards with the new team anyway.  I really want to thank those of you the past few years that help me overclock and stabilize my current system.  Couldn't have done it without you.  Good luck guys and girls.  I really hope they come through, but looks scary to me..bye

In my humble opinion the guys here with x58 chipsets really should wait for ivy bridge and or z68.. Not worth the small jump..

Thant being said, if your coming from a 780i, 790i, or p35 like chipset then I dont know what your waiting for.. The jump in performance is amazing and cheap as hell!! I upgraded to my current set up just for what my Qx9650 cost what, 3 years ago? Yup 1200 bucks US for a MB, CPU, - cooler, and Video card.. lol... So happy

P67 to Z68 = small jump

When you say Ivy Bridge, do you mean socket 2011?
Because there will be Ivy Bridge Cpus for 1155 socket as well.

I want to point out that Jacob said 1-2 weeks. He could be saying that the P67 FTW will be in-stock on EVGA in 1 week but 2 weeks to be in-stock on newegg, microcenter, etc. Which is what he said a while ago

Yes I meant socket 2011..  p67 to z68 is probably a pretty small jump I would say considering, from what I understand is that its basically the same chipset with some different features on it.. Mostly more PCIe lanes?

All so x58 to p67 dose not seem like that far of a jump either.. I think x58 users that are waiting on EVGA boards should wait for z68 and by pass p67 altogether.. But what do I know    "I could be I say I could be wrong."

meh just decided I'm going to wait for eVGA to release their P67 boards.. Only motherboard company I've really been consistently happy with is eVGA.  Asus, Gigabyte and MSI have all run me through the ringer and I'm done with them.  We all know eVGA puts out some kick ass shizz :) so I'll just sit tight and wait and pray that my q6600/8800GT combo doesn't bite the big one before eVGA releases their new P67 motherboards. haha :x

But that would be the "official" word, so if you called that would be all they would say.  As far as the FTW disappearing from the website, that has to be just an error and will be corrected.  Can't see it meaning more than that, since the SLI has been on the site since Jan with no mobo is in site.

Thats really weird the ftw is mysteriously missing. Maybe they're updating the page and releasing it? But I would think if that were true, the SLI page would be gone too, so I doubt it.

May the 9th and still not even a word out of them. If I was still waiting for the board I would be pulling my hair out right now lmao.

Re:wait for P67 Classified? 2011/05/09 12:06:04 (permalink)
Update, I PM'd Jacob the following questions
1) Will EVGA actually sell a P67 motherboard to the public?
2) Will the P67 FTW release between May 8th and May 14th?
3) Z68 releases the 10th of May will EVGA have Z68 motherboards out at the same time as the competition?
4) Does EVGA plan to stay in the motherboard industry?
Here are the answers I received from Jacob
1. Yes of course, if we didn't plan on it we wouldn't spent time to promote it.
2. I can't narrow down the timeframe to an exact date at this time.
3. Can't comment on this.
4. Yes certainly.

You'd think it would be obvious that the P67 would release within a month of official release...yes that are obvious except 1-3 :p
#1 we have waited 4.5 months and still nothing...are they really going to release it this late with Z68 coming out Tuesday or Wednesday?
#2 Jacob said it would release the 2nd week that dates listed are in the 2nd week yet he won't confirm its release...
