I would absolutely love to have that board but unfortunately it is quite out of my price range! I am trying to keep it below $270 after taxes and shipping.

Well said ! Lmfao . Now I have a decision to make between either an Asus, GigaByte or MSI. Which would you prefer? 

depends on cost and features you want...here is a link to Tom's Hardware round up of 5 P67 boards for $200-$250, I would wait till Z68 though.

I've little to no personal experience with Gigabyte or MSI, but I've heard rumblings that Gigabyte's build quality isn't what it used to be...and MSI never had a good reputation in that respect

I'm actually kind of glad EVGA is releasing P67 boards second week of May.
1) it allows me to get another 4 EVGA bucks from folding@home
2) it gives us a chance to see if Z68 is worth the added cost and how much more it will cost
3) means fewer people will buy it so it won't sell out (unless the ordered a very limited number which is a possibility) which gives us more time to compare P67 to Z68.
4) My brother will be home so he can sign for the motherboard :p
 
That being said I think we are going to have to ask Jacob a new question, "Will EVGA be late with Z68 or release its lineup in May?"

If it has "B3" or "Rev 3" then it will have the update chipset, looking at the name is says Rev3 so you should be fine, looking at the reviews I wonder if its a good choice...Here is the Sabertooth http://www.asus.com/Mothe...t_1155/SABERTOOTH_P67/ its supposed to be a good mobo for around $220 (+/- $10)

Aside from a buddy of mine in the Chicago area saying there have still been Gigabyte B2 (pre-revision) boards for sale in local stores, all P67 mobos shipped out now will be the fixed B3 Revision

I have only bought EVGA motherboards and GPU's since I started building computers but this is just out of hand. I really don't have the patience for this kind of thing unfortunately.. if the FTW is a ton better then my Gigabyte UD5 then maybe in a month or so I will pawn it off and grab the FTW but as things stand and if I like the UD5 when I grab it today at noon.. its staying. I have faith that EVGA will produce a great product but its just unfortunate the way they came about it and it got on my bad side.

"@ARCTIC_EAGLE Not at this time, the best I can give at this moment is second week of May" my question was exact ETA? I find it interesting that there is NO ETA when we are 2 weeks out. I know Jacob doesn't like to give dates but come on its 2 weeks away. Which brings up another thing, are we just waiting for the mobos to be shipped to EVGA HQ from Asia? I just don't understand where all the delays are coming from. Remember April 20th? that was the old ETA...now its May 9th-13th. Plus if they release it Thursday or Friday and you want it for the weekend you have to get the $20+ shipping...What I hope is EVGA releases it early in the week so I can use the free shipping. Other than the fact there is no real ETA I have nothing new to add, no real information as of yet on Z68, which is slated for release the 10th or 11th, and we don't know if EVGA is going to release Z68 motherboards in the month of May. I would point out that other mobo "makers" have shown pictures of their products but as ever EVGA remains quiet

maybe they'll just ditch p67 and go straight to z68. 
 
That's probably the only way i could end up with a evga board at this point... if it's z68 and super-amazing-awesome-better than p67.. otherwise i'm sticking with the maximus.

i dont know if i should say this....but im gonna cause it seems you guys already know....but someone told me this, no one from here either, may 8th-official z68 all manufacturers, may 11th- EVGA p67. i really hope thats the case too!! lol...although i wasnt told anything about evga z68. has anyone else heard these release dates setup like this???

i wish!! but im pretty sure thats not the case cause there all E67 part numbers and listed as p67 chipsets in there info pages. i do find it unusual that the p67 ftw with the extras is a K2 instead of KR, which is usually reserved for promo type coding.

Update: in the podcast Jacob talked about the P67 line up starting at 7:00. He mostly talked about what has already been announced which is disappointing, however, Jacob did say that there is a new CPU cooler being worked on that should be red and black. Looking forward to seeing it but honestly I'm disappointed with the lack of information on P67.
