In my PCIe junk box I see an EVGA GTX 260 SC there that I used in SLI mode but to do that pushed me to use a Corsair TX850V2 to handle the power draw.
Now I have the AX1600i so I do not fear power pig video cards anymore. My old HX1000i can also handle power pigs fine. I adopted extreme power supplies to handle some insane cards. The HD 6970, for example, was a power pig but at 1920x1080 it was a great card that beat a whole range of lessor cards.
My Obsidian 750D can handle 3 fan cards like the R9 Fury which is even more of a power pig than the HD 6970.
  Corsair Obsidian 750D Airflow Edition + Corsair AX1600i PSUMy desktop uses the ThinkVision 31.5 inch P32p-20 Monitor.My sound system is the Edifier B1700BT

For shame keeping such a thing in a so-called "junk box". I get it tho they are kinda old and more or less useless. Unless you are me and you keep all your old computers/hardware/boxes and still use it once and while to really appreciate what we have today. Plus it's kinda fun playing old games on era correct hardware.

I had a GTX550 TI, my dad gave it to me a long time ago, it was my first graphics card. The jump from chipset graphics to dedicated graphics blew my young mind. The 900 series had just come out looking back, but back then I thought my card was hot ****.

GTX560 if I recall correctly. Combined with a 2nd gen i5-2400 (I think). Gamed pretty good, probably would have gamed better, but I had this idea that I should use RAID 5 on WD Green drives. Worst decision ever. Some years later, I picked up an EVGA GTX 970, slapped in there with an SSD, it was like a new computer.

Holy crap. They gave lifetime warranties back then for GPUs??
Only thought this was possible for RAM and some very high quality PSUs.
