Been buying eVGA since the 8800GTX (2006) when I had multiple in SLi and they were from eVGA.

Before that I had a 7800GTX that I can't remember the brand of, and before that was a 6800GT that was BFG, before that I believe it was called an FX 5700 from Gainward (Nvidia card), and my very first GPU that I bought myself was a FX 5200.  I used systems with an MX440 and MX400 which is going all the way back to 2001.

My favorite looking card from way back then would have to be the BFG 6800GT though, back then big thick copper heatsinks weren't a thing so:

But the 8800GTX was a sick lookin' card too:

But then I had 2 of these, they were "special", dual GPU cards in their infancy: https://www.evga.com/articles/395.asp 9800 GX2 - I think this was right around the time eVGA was introducing the Step Up program too way back in 2008.

K I'm done spamming. lol Good memories.

Naw, evga had the step up program years before that. I wanna say 03/04 but im not sure anymore. i stepped up my 7800gts in jan 2006, which there step up program was the whole reason i went with them to start with but i remember hearing about it or reading about it somewhere a bit before that.

3 285s 2gb's witch I still use. I did have a 6800 pro 256mb up until not long ago but I scraped the system it was in. I did try and sell the system locally it but no one wanted it even for 100$. Not many are as crazy as me to want a water cooled P4 system lol. I did get a shy less then 50$ out of it. Scrap prices are crazy right now.
Now that I think about it I regret scrapping it.

What a piece of junk that motherboard was!!  I mean, maybe it was better than the nForce 780i that I had before it.  ... Maybe.  Bad in other ways though.  It's the reason I do not plan to ever buy an EVGA motherboard again.

EVGA has a tough time with motherboards for the longest time. I'd be willing to bet that there is not even one working EVGA SK939 board form them that is still working, let alone many early x58 and 775 boards. From what I know they have stepped up quite a bit since then but I too also have a hard time with the idea of buying one again.

I have a 775...the 780i FTW with a lapped 8600 and a non lapped 8400. All work as good as when i put them away. Well, they havent been out in about 4 years now since my brother gave it back to me about then. 775's were finicky tricky boards with OC holes in the bus speed, usb legacy bug issue, etc.. i like to call them personalities.

My oldest Evga card (and also my very first Evga card ever) is a Geforce 6800 GT (256 MBs of RAM, AGP).

However, while I haven't turned on that desktop in a while, it was still running extremely well last time I used it and has actually outlasted two cards I've had in the time since in the desktop I built to "replace" that system. It does run on the hot side, though (even after I had to move everything to a different case with better cooling and ventilation). Regardless, my positive experience with that card and Evga back then is part of what made a fan out of me.

It was also the very first video card I can honestly remember getting very excited over almost from the time I first read about it. When the card I originally had in that system began acting up and had to be replaced, I opted to go for a 6800 and even used to watch sales on a daily basis and was actively saving up in the hopes of being able to afford to buy one and admittedly could barely contain myself when I finally had the box in hand.

I've got an EVGA FX 5500 powering my Retro win98 machine. Also have an EVGA TNT2 M64 collecting dust... would love to find a normal TNT2 (Ultra? Did they make an Ultra?) from EVGA :D

Some of you in this forum making me feel old.
While it was definitely not my first graphics card, I do recall happily buying an EVGA e-GeForce4 MX 420... and it was beautiful for its time.

anyone remember when the 6800 came out with those weird memory amounts? GTS vs. GTX vs. ULTRA... then the 7800gt came out at a steal of a price. Bring me back to those days

Had a 560ti that I gave to a friend, currently using a 780. Still handles things decently for a 7 year old gpu.
