So you're basically saying, it's just the conversion from USD to CA that makes it cost so much?  I don't think EVGA jacks up the price but sells it to possibly pay some fees on their end possibly or w/e and you add the conversion which gives you the total price.  No way they would price gouge a customer.  Maybe shipped and sold by a snake oil salesman on amazon or ebay. lol

As for HC, oh I know all about that, hence my semi sarcastic remark.

Yep it's just the conversion. Seems crazy but our dollar is worthless here.

Yeah I hear ya.  For every $100, you guys lose $25.  That adds up for high priced ticket items like GPUs and stuff.

I still think EVGA should limit the first batch to those with a registered KPE card on their account. And for an even more unpopular opinion, limit it to 1 per owned card. Ie, if you want to buy two HC blocks you must have 2 KPE's registered to your account.

I completely agree. They should be only available to registered 2080ti Kingpin owners & they should be offered to owners outside of the US.

Yeah my first one gets delivered today but won't be able to start messing with it unfortunately. I might even wait and start the new benching when i can put on the hydro copper and use the 800 watt chiller i ordered at the same time. that should make big strides.

Mine is also due in this afternoon. Probably won’t get to install it until next week though. Got a busy week ahead of me.

My block is coming on Thursday. Don’t really care when it arrives because I won’t be doing my new build for a couple of months at least. It’ll be my first foray into watercooling so I’m going to be taking a tedious amount of time planning out the loops and making sure my case and whatnot is all prepped before I make the plunge and fully transfer my current parts to the new case. The plan is to do two separate loops for my 9900k and Kingpin. Haven’t decided if thick 360 radiator only will be enough for my card. Probably, but if I have the opportunity to put in a thick 360 AND a 480, then why the heck not?!

Nice. I plan to do my install within the next couple weeks.

For radiators, I would do as thick as your case and design can tolerate. I have 2 360mm HWLabs GTS rads.

I'm looking forward to see some KPE loops, hope to see some nice work -- that block could make for some amazing looking black & copper builds.

It might get some Tan Lines over the Power Connectors at the bottom.
Still thinking about what Thermal Pads to Cover them Bumps with.
Not seeing any kind of GPU Bracket space so it would seem the HC comes with none.

@Zedd

How was the disassembly overall? I have severe anxiety about it considering I’ve never done a waterblock before. But based on the instructions for the HC it seems to be straightforward.

Very straight forward and easy. Basically removing all screws from back plate and two screws from PCIE slot bracket.

Watch this if you are concerned.
https://youtu.be/InaiDvFs4aA

One screw on back plate near top nvlink connector is hidden under what looks like an evga security sticker.

Yeah, should be easy. Ensure you save all the screws etc in case you have to RMA the card later. You'll have to re-assemble the Hybrid cooler to process an RMA.

Are you thinking we need to add thermal pads over the power connectors? I’m really hoping EVGA included everything we need. Just got home to my HC block but haven’t opened the box yet.

Prob talking about sealing the whole card for sub zero temps. Ignore for normal water cooling.

No, it was based on "speaking of nudes" and the bottom of the image was cut off or the other.

You're just better off adding it all as one big loop and seeing what fits properly in said case.  Look up at custom loops in the case you're using is your best bet to get you started on what fits, functions for you and what you'll like aesthetically.

Thin or thick won't matter as much as adding each 120mm surface does.  The more the merrier.  Some make the mistake of splitting their loops into two which you end up, spending more and only using half of your cooling system in actuality because half of your cooling is for one chip and the other half for the other when combining both as one big loop you'll have all that cooling power for both and or either chip since when benching most of the time you're not pushing both chips @ 100% or in real time other than folding and you'll still have more heat surface to use to cool say a GPU for benches or vise versa for a CPU.
