Goshhhh, these casuals are really lazy these days. LOL. What does stop u from taking 680 backplate and install it??? +Jacob mentioned that 680 version will fit on 670
I wanna smile everytime I see such threads :)
If I was a casual I wouldn't mind installing a 680 backplate on my 670's. The fact that I'm incredibly anal about the appearance of my PC's means that installing a backplate that says 680 on 670's is not an option for me. Sorry. I will go no backplate before I put one on that doesn't even represent the correct model.

" Note: Nevermind. That's for the short PCB." is correct yapchagi. THAT part is a BIG Negative; It does Not fit the FTW model! The GTX670 back plate is for the SHORT PCB; not full sized 670 FTW PCB. (680 based is much longer) But thanks for trying to help; you'd have to look at the PCB specs or read the EVGA 670 backplate description to see that it is NOT compatible. http://www.evga.com/produ...0-%20Hardware&sw=4 "A backplate for your EVGA GeForce GTX 670. Helps reinforce the PCB, protects critical components and best of all, looks awesome! I'd like a 670 FTW backplate as well! Does anybody know if the 680 branding is a sticker? Is it removable? I'd put the 680 on, but I don't want my 670 to be a poser :)

Only reason I didn't buy a 670 FTW this weekend. My wife and I just ordered z77/3570K/SSD parts for upgrade. I won't buy our 4 670s until the backplate is made.
How's that for incentive, EVGA?

Yes, it has been stated that the 680 backplate fits, but people dont like how it has 680 on it.
