I believe Vince was talking about the Z690 Dark KingPin mobo, not the 3090 Ti / 3090 KingPin.

Glad you can distinguish the MB in the gif.

 
lol.. yeah well obviously, given this thread is the "Official EVGA RTX 3090 Ti / 3090 Kingpin" thread, and is in the 'EVGA Graphics Cards > EVGA GeForce RTX 30 Series' forum, it seemed a bit strange to be posting about a Z690 motherboard here, other than it having KingPin branding...

It wasn't the first Kingpin board post and not the last fellas.  I get it's not the main place for it but still part of the brand is all.  Stop knit picking dangnit. 

 
I only commented to clarify that the post in question was talking about the Z690 Kingpin motherboard, not the 3090 / 3090 Ti KingPin GPUs, given that the post in question only said "First batch will be available Thursday - Kingpin" which could easily be interpreted as talking about the GPU(s) given this thread was created to discuss KingPin GPUs. Seems obvious why I posted. No big deal, certainly no need for you and Kevinc313 to jump on me for it lol.. indeed, stop knit picking dangit! lol

We've seen pics of both the KP and FTW3 air cooled card. Most likely both coming.

The E1 shows a hybrid K|ngP|n card, so that and the above means there is at least an FTW3 ICX card and a KP Hybrid card for sure. Beyond that... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ..I would hope there's a KPHC, but who knows? (well.. quite a lot of people in EVGA know, but..)

would be surprised to see a HC at all let alone KPE HC. also wonder how they'd drop a flagship tier card with no custom water cooling options...maybe they'll drop the HC kit with the idea being the PCB layouts for 3090 Ti and 4090 will be nearly identical? I've seen more than a few folks speculate that the Ti is a test run for the 40 series power delivery and pcb layout

I be surprised if they carry over the same PCB layout, seems they're always tweaking things enough where things don't carry over.  I've heard the 3090 Ti KPE PCB design is different enough where the base 3090 series block wouldn't carry over.  Is that the same for 3080 and 3080 Ti?  (Never needed to look)

It's difficult to believe they would make a card like this with no water block options. Seems pointless. An air cooled version is likely not any faster than my water cooled 3090. Very very little anyway.

It's tough to say.  Their HC release has always lagged a bit, especially so with 3090 and the whole supply shortage.  So even if 3090 Ti is announced for actual sale this month [(X) doubt], it'll be a few months until HC blocks come out.  And then we're that much closer to 40-series.  And no other major waterblock manufacturer is even making blocks for KP cards anymore, so not like anyone will be pushing development.  All we had for 3090 KP was EGVA official and Optimus, and Optimus has had it's issues with its 30 series KP blocks.  I bet they're fully aware that people want blocks for these cards, but don't know how it works out on the books for them.  I'd be happy if EVGA partner with some mainstream waterblock manufacturer and get blocks out that way.  (No idea who's making the current blocks)
