https://www.kitguru.net/components/graphic-cards/matthew-wilson/nvidia-rtx-20-series-price-cuts-swoop-in/ During the six months that have followed the RTX 20 series launch, there has been plenty of criticism surrounding pricing. During this time, Nvidia itself has observed lower than expected sales for its new Turing-powered graphics cards. This week, the situation is starting to look a bit better, with price drops coming in for the RTX 2060 and up. Overclockers UK has begun rolling out new prices for the RTX series. The RTX 2060 now starts at £299.99, the RTX 2070 starts at £419.99, the RTX 2080 starts at £599.99 and the RTX 2080Ti starts at £979.99. Those who get an RTX 2060 or RTX 2070 will be able to choose between a free copy of Anthem, Metro Exodus or Battlefield V with their GPU. Meanwhile, those grabbing an RTX 2080 or RTX 2080Ti will get all three games. Personally I still find the RTX 2080ti too high despite the price cuts.

They will have to come down a lot more to compete with how little I paid for a GTX 1060 3GB card. So far the card I have works well at its design for 1920x1080. I looked at the GTX 1600 cards, not a lot of upside there for my meagre budget and the GTX 2000 cards are not really what I wanted in a video card. so I am waiting more for the next gen 7nm hardware before I look for a new card

just double the price of the 1060 to get a 3060??? waiting for ampere will cost you more than turing you do realize that 7nm is double the cost for the same size silicon

as more experience accumulates the cost will ease. 7nm costs will slowly come down over the cycle just like every other size down

I see no price cut from Nvidia Europe site either? The RTX 2080 Ti is £1,099.00 currently. The RTX 2080 is £749.00 currently. The RTX 2070 is £549.00 currently. The RTX 2060 is £329.00 currently. https://www.nvidia.com/en...mit=9&locale=en-gb So this doesn't look like Nvidia made the price cuts.

notfordman That 979.99 pound price converts to almost $1300, So what has changed? LOL!
Exactly nothing changed, nothing at all... Again NV is posting more and more lies, it's ridiculous.
People are finally waking up it seems, that what has been said to them and all the false promises and false profits.. all spread about doesn't add up. In the log run I am happy that more and more people are realizing they were stabbed in the back and taxed by NV all that time, all due to useless features.
What? When did Nvidia ever announce a price cut to the RTX cards? Overclockers UK lowered the prices, not Nvidia. You're saying Nvidia lied about something they never said. Do you work for CNN?

On telling the truth? what you get off on accusing me of trolling? prove it? define it? compare to Kram way of behaving starts attacking calling up names to members and yet still posting, who is the troll now? I am also surprise he is not ban for provoking and for the name calling he has spat so far. If you want to compare that with my posts let me know who is wrong. Please elaborate you are not better either. Just because i am disagreeing with the RTX cards it does not means i am trolling, the OP thread and the link proves my post on other threads about the Crytek engine uncovering the lies Nvidia has told everyone, after that video was posted in the internet, look now how in Europe one store decides to lower the prices for the lack of sales. A member comparing prices with EURO currency and US currency are you serious? is the value the same? explain?

i see no price drops here in Portugal tho... shame the 2080 cost an average of 750 to 900€ ( as much as the 1080Ti would cost ) and about same performance but with less VRam the 2080 Ti starts at ~1200€ and can go up to 1500€ maybe near 1600€ and only 25% more performance in a perfect gaming scenario comparing with a 1080 TI

It's too much... for technology usable very short time it's too much. It's different if you pay some music component or instrument or something usable 10-20 years. But simply for technology usable max 5 years and after 3 years become obsolete over 1K is insane. Maybe I'm thankful to NVIDIA because Turing was turning point for many gamers I see that, many of people who are force to buy second hand GPU and pay half of the price will continue to do that. If you delay gaming of new games you save a lot of money. No any reason to high end GPU cost over 500$, CPU 300-400$ and Motherboard 300$.

rumor mill info for everyone from April 3 Ampere has been taped. As per Eassa, a “reliable” source informed him that NVIDIA had taped out Ampere in the last weeks of March. Eassa says that the taped GPU will succeed the NVIDIA V100 Data Center GPU (based on the Volta architecture). that would put Ampere late fall or next year- 6-9 months from tapeout to release I have 2nd source now

The list is always improving and with DXR part of directX it’s a technology that will be used.

Vlada011No any reason to high end GPU cost over 500$, CPU 300-400$ and Motherboard 300$. Have you considered BOM, manufacturing and R&D cost or just maunder?
