This driver downclock my gpu with all games to idle during gameplay. i have a RTX 3080 evga XC3 Ultra. Example in Far Cry 3 im locked at 30 fps...
 
Forgot to mention im on windows 11 if it matters.

I am having the same issue on Windows 10.  Will try to backpedal to 472.12

Didn’t someone say that the power slider needed to be reset in some cases thanks to this driver version?

My power slider is at 100%, still having this issue and haven't rolled back to 472.12 yet. I am still trying to fix it lol.

Just downloaded and installed today.

nightmare.thanks EVGA and nvidia for another thing to fight with if i didnt have 1908.00 on the line
i'd smash this card on the ground !!!! 
correction 1978.00 i have to pay for replacement on EVGA defective cards and will eventually be RMAing
this one as well this sucks really really sucks !!!

I’m not bragging when I say this, but I’ve not experienced even a 10th of the issues I’ve come across on these forums (and others). It honestly makes me wonder what’s going on most of the time. What sort of issue(s) are you having?

right now a flickering of the desk top it flickers in background when changing or going in and out of games/apps a white flash you could say.
the last card did it much worse had black screen total lock up of nvidia panel constant random flicker in and out of game
RMA'd and the second one does it also just way less.
and now just attempting to install this driver tanked my farcry 6 game.had 0 problems with my zotac 3080 or my 1080ti the day i installed
the first 3090 its been months of aggravation.ive attempted every single thing i know and could find on internet even the things that made no sense
to no avail.heres the crappiest part of all i sold the zotac 3080 worst move ive ever made.im now part of the money pit which is EVGA way of
dodging thier resposibility to thier customers they know full well these card are defective but making us foot the bill costs me 70.00 to ship 
this card back.
this is not the company i bought a 760,780,980ti,1080ti,1650super and now a 3090 
this has changed the game for me.

It’s just your 3090 that you’ve had issues with? I know they’ve had issues with New World, but the flickering issue is a new one to me. And, you’re sure it’s not your monitor cable or something like G-Sync/FreeSync that’s causing the flicker, or even your monitor for the matter? I’ve got a G-Sync monitor that causes flickering/stuttering in some games when doing specific things, all the while my other G-Sync monitor doesn’t do that. I’ve used different cards ranging from a 980, 1080, 2080, 2080 Ti, 3080, and a 3080 Ti as well as different DisplayPort cables. Regardless, that one monitor still has that problem. It’s been like that since day 1 of owning it. It was my first G-Sync monitor, so I didn’t know any better that it’s not normal behavior.

RMA'd my monitor,tried with and without gsnyc/vsync 4 cords 3 monitors reinstalled windows ddu at least half a dozen times.different drivers
and every single thing i could find on internet i kid you not.nothing has worked but with the second card the problem is 1/4 of the first card
so that leads me to, its the cards nothing on my end as the only time during all this that it improved was RMAing the card.i probably
got someone elses that did the same thing and thier QC plugged it in saw nothing right away and shoved it in a box.thats my guess.
 
sorry yes this is the only card that does this my zotac 3080 ran perfect and so does my 1080ti in the same system.

please let me know if you figure out how to stop or what causes it ive been struggling for months with the flickering 
my 3080 never flickered andd since i got this 3090 it has never stopped even the 2nd one flickers just much less
i believe its the cards makes no sense why the second flickers less other that defective cards 

Not sure what else I could suggest since you’ve pretty much covered all bases. Have you tried troubleshooting with EVGA tech support instead of outright RMAing the card?

yes they went thru the trouble shooting steps no help at all.heres something intresting installed this driver and it tanked my performance
i just figured out why it set my power limit to 23% WTH was that.anyone else having probs take a look at your power limit in MSI or PRECISION X
Normally i would say i must have accidently moved the slider but i never even opened the app.
tip: Precision x makes your card run 12c hotter on the memory and 8c on overall temps use MSI afterburner (at least on mine)

The power slider issue has been mentioned a few times. Definitely an odd one. Do you have PX1 set to start with Windows out of curiosity? I'm wondering if that has anything to do with the power slider being tanked after this driver update. I use Afterburner personally, and this hasn't come up for me on any of the systems I recently updated to 496.13.

I had to roll back to 472.12 with the my 3080 Ti as I was getting random crazies in COD Cold War for no reason. It has been rock solid stable since rolling back the drivers.

I’ve only tested one title so far (RDR2) using this latest driver, and I’m missing 1 FPS according to its benchmark. 🤣

Updated to this driver and RDR2 failed within minutes every time.

I also got random black screen flashes and even screen tearing on the desktop... ****... Rolled back to 472.12, this driver is a dud.

DOA.

I'd really like to take advantage of the shader cache being unlocked. I hope they fix this driver soon. Lots of complaints about it all around.

Red Dead is the only game I’ve experienced issues with, but that’s enough for me. I DDU’d 496.13 for 472.12. You win some; you lose some. If it works for you, no reason to do anything but keep using it.

No issues for me. Haven't been.

Getting a lot of black flickering around the screen edges. Likely going to revert to the previous release. It's quite the distraction at times.
