the_Scarlet_onexorxhsso no fix about new worlds yetThat’s the programmer job. Drivers can only do so much, but bad programming isn’t going to get fixed by NVidia.

Ciddharthas Post back your results maybe some fps resultsI'm reading mostly good things about this one, aside from a bit of uproar over Nvidia abandoning standard versions of their drivers, but apparently even the dch version includes a seamless install of NVCP without having to get it from the microsoft store, maybe it doesn't make any difference anymore. I'm curious about being able to change the shader cache size. At any rate, I'll probably give this one a go tomorrow.
oldmanskillsThis driver downclock my gpu with all games to idle during gameplay. i have a RTX 3080 evga XC3 Ultra. Example in Far Cry 3 im locked at 30 fps... Forgot to mention im on windows 11 if it matters.

Turns out, the power limit had been set to the minimum. Dragging the slider back in Precision X1 and applying fixed it. Weirdly, the temp limit seems a bit lower than it used to be while linked to the power slider at 105% but I'm not sure if that means anything.
EVGAuser97428I read on another forum that 500.xx is for Win11.

CiddharthasActually I chickened out. Been following the various feedback threads and have been reading about a lot of issues - screen stutter, games crashing, downclocking with power limits (although that last one might not be too difficult to fix), etc. Probably going to wait a bit and maybe see if they release a hotfix driver. They made a ton of changes in this one apparently, including the first update to physX in like years.

Guess that explains the 830 MB download. And, here I was complaining about a 720 MB file only a month or so ago. Nvidia really needs to start breaking down their driver releases by series instead of having one all-encompassing file.
