One of the changes im most excited about, this might help alleviate color profile issues on certain multi monitor setups. Since Microsoft doesn't really seem to care about fixing them.

    This caught my attention.

Display page: Added the option to override the Windows 10 control of desktop

What exactly is this for? Is this for ICC profiles where all games will keep the profile now?

So recently, like for end of last year around October to now i have started to use a torrent downloader to check the hash of downloads and all has been fine in the past with Nvidia drivers but not this one, this one failed hash check and on the Nvidia page it show the file size as 415.24MB and when you try to DL it in chrome or via a torrenter the size is 303.87MB, this was not so for all other drivers before this one, can any of you specualte as to why this is so or even better can you do the hash check to see if it fails for you too?

I have a couple of basic questions for you guys with this driver.  NVIDIA users are having many issues with the two below:
    1. HDR - what is this for?
    2. Window's 10 Creator's update - Is this a new update in Windows that will be automatically added?   Or do users get to pick if they want it or now?
    Thanks

At one Point this will be forced on your computer.
It is a New Version of Windows 10. Not a Service Pack as in older versions of Windows.
You will see a Folder on your OS Drive Called Windows.Old after it is installed.

You can get the Windows 10 Creators Update now through the Update Assistant located here.  I am running it, as well as the latest Nvidia drivers with no problems at all.

plenty of people are having issues based on what I read at Nvidia's forum.   How did you pull this off?

Hmm - Well, I installed the NVIDIA driver first and rebooted my computer, I then went to the Microsoft site I linked above and installed the Windows 10 Creators Update via the Update assistant.  I then rebooted the machine one more time even after the update, and so far it has been rock solid.  I even went ahead and created a new Recovery disk as well as a new Flash disk for a clean install should it ever become neccesary.  Oh, and I also used Acronis 2017 to backup to my NAS drive.  I built this machine using a Gigabyte Motherboard running an Intel I7 CPU with 32g of ram, 2tb SSD and 1tb HDD with the EVGA GTX1080.  (Played a whole lot of Ghost Recon Wildlands today with no issues.)
FWIW my lenovo Yoga 13 laptop is also running the Windows CU Update with no problems.

    **EDIT**
I should point out that I always perform a clean install, and I never install the 3d controller drivers or the geforce experience application.  I only install the Video Driver, Audio Driver, and the Physx Driver.  Perhaps if I ever decide to go VR I may install the other drivers..  Oh and I also do not over clock anything and I do not install any of EVGA's utility software.

So is Driver 381.65 installed then?

Thanks for the info.  I'll follow these steps when I am at the point of updating to the Creator's update.  I too have a Gigabyte motherboard.  Not a single issue with it in almost 3 years.  I typically only install Video driver and Physx.  I don't need anything else.  I always do a clean install as well.  I rarely have issues but always like to read about a driver before installing it.
