Is GeForce Now actually worth it? I thought Linus was sort of dunking on it in his video

I honestly haven't really had a lot of issues with it. I went in with low expectations, but I've been playing Apex on it and haven't been frustrated at all

For my own personal use, I was unwilling to downscale to 1080p. Even with an aging graphics card that struggles to output decent framerates, the resolution difference was too much for me.
Also the lack of certain titles meant that the concept of replacing my need for a gaming pc were non-realistic.
However, I found this service to be incredibly useful in enabling my wife (who lacks a beefy gaming rig) to play games with me. For me, that has been a wonderful service.

Yeah I don't see how anyone else can compete with Microsoft at this point. Their own library plus EA Play library is crazy.

I use it, and it's fine for what it is and what I use it for. It's an affordable way for me to run the occasional game in some down time at work on a Mac laptop. It's not a premium gaming experience, but it's better than nothing.

It does seem counterintuitive except in the context of a company intentionally transitioning their strategy from a product supplier to a service provider. Recurring billing charges for a service environment they control fully? Potentially extremely profitable, and users have much less legal standing. Don't like it? Service terminated. See: Microsoft.
