I installed them but I'm not going to do any benchmark runs with them. Thanks for posting. Hopefully they'll stop this newest Firefox from freezing up on me.

I noticed with this driver that the "USB Safely Remove Hardware & Eject" icon stays in the system tray.  And the only item I see listed in there is for one of my 970's.  I also saw this reported on Nvidia forums by several people.

Other than that, I played a couple hours of FO4 without issue's.  This driver seems as good as the previous one so far.

It's funny... it seems like with every recent driver release my card gets slower and slower... I went from ~16750 to ~16650 and with this recent driver release I just got 16609 in Firestrike. With a 4770K and 980Ti. I don't know is nvidia starting to prepare for their new gpu release by crippling their previous generation again like they did with the 780Ti prior to the 980 release or whats going on?

Please tell me guys have you noticed similar behavior?

3dmark scores can vary by up to 3% on each run...

"The precision of Futuremark benchmarks scores is usually better than 3%. This means that running a benchmark repeatedly on a consistently performing system in a well-controlled environment will produce scores that fall within a 3% range." - http://www.futuremark.com/support/guides

Idle temps are back to normal with this driver. BO3 combine map flickering is fixed with this driver. I too am seeing the safely remove hardware icon with this driver.

When you guys saying, you see safely remove hardware icon in a tray? maybe I'm misunderstanding this, but can you adjust that feature in window system notification, or it just stays there regardless.

It's there all the time. I'm only seeing the issue in windows 10, windows 7 doesn't show it.

Check over at Guru3D forums. They found a Registry entry that will remove that icon if you change the value to '0'. Just saying in case it really bugs anyone that much. I haven't installed these drivers on my Windows 10 PC yet so I don't know if it'll happen to me or not.

EDIT: I found it on page 5: Try to remove key SurpriseRemovalSupport from HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\nvlddmkm ... or change to '0'

Installed these tonight for RoTTR and see that I have the "safely eject gtx 980ti" in my task bar. I ignored it but when I was moving icons around I accidently hit eject  :(

The screen went black for a second then came back on and all seems fine .....

    Would this damage my GPU?

I don't think this happening once will damage your GPU, but I wouldn't make that  a habit

Looking at your signature, you are on windows 7 and yet still had that safely remove hardware icon glitch.

I am going to hold off on this update for now.  So far, I couldn't care less about the Eject thing.. that is minuscule to me.

I will update after installing my new cards :-D

Yes, its aesthetic glitch, but I'm not to crazy about the new drivers lately so I will wait as well, although for different reason than you, but I will wait for next release.
When  and which card are you getting

Probably need to update his sig as it shows he has a 780 versus the 980Ti he referenced.

Heavy is very close.. not quite ready to update the Sig (which say 980, :-p ) but this arrived today:

I am tested both of them out, and got the above results. Under 62c, the 76.3 card boosts to 1414 out of the box. I have it under the watercooling so that I can test it until the blocks arrive tomorrow, then I can install everything and update the rig.

1414 my Titan Black boosts to roughly 1200 and I'm really happy
I know it's going to sound funny, don't laugh but I'm asking only because I don't game so to me speed it's not the main focus. But as for you guys, gamers is between 1414 and 1500MHz noticeable difference in games, or at that point it counts more for benchmarks purpose?

Btw. Didn't you just change your cards few months ago I could be wrong thou I'm just jealous

I bought the 3 of the 980 K|ngp|ns in April last year, and the last in June. I have had them for a while.

And 1414 to 1500 is noticeable in benchmarks and going for high scores. I do NOT overclock while gaming, ever. Some people will probably get upset about that, but I don't care. Two of these cards overpowers my monitor at 1440p, 144hz most of the time anyway, so why risk instability?

Sounds like you may have had precisionx running during installation of the driver. A reinstall of PX should fix it.

Been using this since it was released and i have had no loss nor gain in performance or stability and the issue with the 144hz monitor making the GPU(760FTW) idle at just over 800mhz GPU clock, is still there.
