Im thinking it has to do with the Voltage part of it and alot of the past gen cards not having a Vchip that it can adjust ?Just a guess tho

This post feels like a lie to be...

Its out.

Im a EVGA owner.

I cant use it.

Its only avalable to people who are getting the GTX 470/480... And all it seems to be is a EVGA version of FurMark.

Disappointed!!  I wish I was able to use this with my GTX-295.  Not worth buying a GTX-480 for an few extra FPS's and the new EVGA utility..

They showed you a sneak peek to get you all whipped up, excited about it and now they want to use that excitement to help sell their 400 series.

From EVGA_JacobF in response to a question about a list of cards that it will support"

It is universal, the plan is multi-GPU support too.

third post in the topic.

Thing is, he said it would work, It's just that they decided not to give it to anyone other than 470/480 owners it seems... Deceitful at best, I implore you to please all this as a free download.

It's like saying "We have cake for you and it is delicious" but leaving out the part that you don't get to eat it without buying a GTX 470/480 "glass of milk"

honestly I've come to expect better than deceitful behavior from EVGA.

yup they have tested this on the 295, so we know it works.  we just have to wait a month after the 4xx's launch and hopefully they release it to the rest of us.

I hope your right about that, it would be a big disipointment if they didnt make it availible to everyone reguardless of what series card you own.

i think i am.  a ocing tool like this is too important to the company to leave it to just the 400 series.  i understand why they would just leave it to the 4xx's right now, it add value to an already impressive card.

Were going to have to wait until someone re uploads it to another hosting site to be able to use it. Which is stupid, you should always support older hardware\customers, not just new ones.

People arent going to buy a 4xx series card just because of some uber leet OC scanner.

Well now, since the customer base in neither thread garners enough respect to be deserving of an answer...

OK there's an update on this topic:
http://forums.evga.com/tm.aspx?m=260219

Seems the the one that comes with the GTX 470/480 isn't the only version of this type of tool they are making.
