:p New folder here. Decided to go ahead and set it up as I'm taking a small break from major gaming (mostly playing League of Legends with a few friends).
I have a couple questions:
1) I'm using a GTX275 as my GPU currently, would I be able to pop in my GT8800 and use that instead?
2) If I can, where would I change the GPU used by the F@H app?

You can run it on as many computers as you wish/ can afford using the same name

Welcome here :) look on the first post it gives a link to FAH GPU tracker - its very simple to setup using this tool It not only sets you up on your CPU but up to 8GPU and yes you can use both of your together, or just the 8800 the choice is yours

HotRod, it sounds like you have downloaded the GPU2 client, but you have a fermi card there. You will need to download the GPU3 client from Stanford, or you could use the GPU Tracker program to set things up.

Hi everyone! Just starting folding this last month and I am thoroughly addicted to it. Have my SMP file up and running and 2 gpu's most of the day. (can't fold 24/7 yet). Hopefully i can put up some decent numbers!

I just set up Folding@Home, name I used is the same as my forum name; NewtypeFlash. Using the GTX 570.

Hi Guys the more the merrier. don't forget to check out FAH GPU Tracker - regardless of the name its very easy to use and will set up your CPU and up to 8GPU's in the same box all in one go, it also has a support website -should you need it, simpler by far imho :) http://fahtracker.com/

I just started the folding for evga and I noticed by using the GPU3 client from the website I get about 71c and 98% GPU usage, I tried teh FAH GPU tracker client and made sude that GPU3 mode was set and Fermi was the GPU used I only get as high as 66c so this means the FAH client is a tad bit slower ?

Trying my best to understand folding and it's a little easier with the FAH GPU Tracker v2, but I feel there are some things that the experienced folders take for granted. I'm the poster child for noobs. I've read post after post and there aren't very many concerning the very first steps you need to take. The one that's giving me fits right now is the EOCID. Besides that this is a great project to be involved with , I can't wait to see my numbers increasing and hear about the good work at Stanford.

You will get you EOC after you fold a few work units. It's only so you can see your progress. Search your name as you have it in your config file.
The important one is your passkey from Stanford. That's the one you need for bonus points.

Easiest way to set it all up is this program. You can monitor your progress there BUT you need to make sure your forum name and folding names are the same, then add you name here. Middle column toward the bottom put in your folding name. Then watch and earn bucks. Need more help, PM me. Welcome to the team!!!
