STR1D3R_2 Hello team, just started folding again over the weekend and figured I'd put 111065 in the box like I had it a few years back under str1d3r. Been noticing as some have stated above the low points on cpu wu's, going to read up on some crunching and figure out what that's all about. Great to see some familiar names still around <\/,,
Welcome back! Not many Fold on the CPU anymore. The good old days of the BigAdv days are gone and have been replaced by GPUs. Site Link

For now I'll let the cpu's help the cause. I've left outdoor flood lights on many times in the past. Temps are dropping so I'll heat my house with them till I can fit a few more builds in the budget. I'll be comin back to grab that badge after a few more posts. ;-)

I'm pretty new here. I just built my Folding/Gaming rig. I'm wondering how do you get the fancy folding.extremeoverlocking.com stat tracker into my signature?

New Folder, I actually intended to fold in the timezone challenge and I wasn't able to. I want to apologize to my team, it was unintentional.

Welcome feydain, any questions, start a thread and ask away.. hope you get those parts in soon as Folding punishes laptop GPU's and CPU's. CPU points are not a lot, so most just use GPU's. Cheers

Thanks, yeah the parts came in and it's mostly built, I'm still waiting on my Samsung 960 EVO but it's been delayed by USPS because of New Years so I'm hoping it will get to me today.

Hi All, Just joined up. Haven't folded in about 10 years. Just upgraded the rig somewhat so I thought I'd try the folding again. Went from a Phenom II X4 965 to an FX-8350 and from a Radeon HD5770 to an EVGA GTX-1050Ti 4GB FTW and added a 500GB SSD to supplement the 128GB SSD that I still use as a system drive. I have the GPU OC'd to 1911MHz boost and the memory to 4004MHz. Haven't messed with the CPU or system memory. Too many settings and I'm not that saavy. After folding for a few hours, the GPU is running a cool 61c and the CPU is a cooler 36c with the Noctua NH-D15S I put on it. That thing's a monster. Totally dwarfs the AC Freezer Pro64 that I had on the Phenom. Later, Ian

Welcome to TEAM EVGA Haywire! Current info is that CPU folding is not worth the power to fold on. If you need any help we have a great team of people that will be glad to help out.

Thanks... I can see why you say that. My CPU is showing approx 3277ppd while the GPU is 44070ppd. Ian

Hello, I'm new to TeamEVGA, but not to folding, been folding since Nov 2016. The team I'm on is slowly dying out, most of the top users aren't and haven't folding in a long time. So I'm jumping ship and coming over here tonight when I get home. I do have a few questions. My folding name and name on here aren't the same, so on the form that it says to fill out on page one, do I put my name on here Teknogroovie or my FAH name Teknogroovin? Also under year for folding with EVGA it only has 2017 not 2018. So do I just click on 2017 or 2016 since that's when I started folding with a different team? And the last question will that effect my EVGA Bucks earned having the two different names? Thank you for your time.

I was more worried about my username not matching, On the form it's Teknogroovie and On its Teknogroovin. I sent a message to to see if it can be changed. I'm pretty sure I originally had the username Teknogroovin when I registered my first EVGA card the GTX670, but I don't think I have that email anymore. The other two emails I tried password recover and never got any emily from EVGA to reset that password. Tonight when I get home I'll be switching Team Numbers to Team EVGA

Hey folks, been folding under EVGA for a while now but never thought to check in here. Never been a participant in the EVGA forums before, and I doubt I'll be an active one, but I'll probably pop by now and again if I have anything folding related to discuss. So I've been eyeing the EVGA team for a while now. I don't have any particular relation to this community, but I admire how EVGA actively supports the cause by awarding their contributors with something tangible, and in turn I want to support EVGA in any way I can. In fact I try to buy EVGA hardware whenever I can for this very reason. I collect my EVGA bucks every month, but living in Europe I'm not sure I'll ever get to use them. If they somehow buy me a decent graphics card for additional folding a few years down the line that's just a huge bonus I think. I folded for a moment on my P4 2.8 GHz all the way back in 2004 - a time when GPU folding wasn't a thing yet. This was my first personal machine, and when I heard folding were supposed to only draw unused resources I thought "why not?" and gave it a go. However, it quickly turned out folding did have a massive impact on my gaming performance, so I quit shortly thereafter. Late 2014, about 10 years after I quit, one of the members from the team I'd been folding for PMed me, pitching F@H to me once again, and so I gave it another go on my GTX 570 and have been folding ever since. I got my EVGA GTX 970 SC a couple months later, and shortly after that I upgraded my CPU/MB/RAM, so I decided to make a folding rig out of my old parts and add two additional EVGA GTX 970 SSCs. About two years ago I RMAed my single 970 SC, and paid the difference to get a 1070 SC instead, and this plus the two 970 SSCs is what I currently have running. My client currently reports a combined 1.2M PPD across both computers, but in reality this will be somewhat lower as I also use my 1070 for gaming. After having folded for my old team for a few years now, I decided back in January that I was fed up with the attitude from certain bad apples within the team and left. However I obviously still wanted to support the cause, and I didn't have to think twice about which team to join in their place, and so here I am. Hope to stay indefinitely!
