m0demb0y Been folding for EVGA for a while, just now getting around to posting in here. Thanks to everyone who wrote guides, folds for EVGA, and EVGA themselves for making this all happen!
Thank you for dropping in and thanks for all you in the folding world. Welcome!
+1 Glad to have you guys folding with us!! CoolGTX, we will get you going just post a thread we have many great team members that will get you up and running. I wouldn't recommend folding on your CPU, points gained are not worth the power to run them. Some people will CPU fold, which is fine. Teddy welcome back man! :O

Hi All New too this folding game thanks to Barnacules Nerdgasm recent youtube video. Have sinced switched to team EVGA when i found out about the support they give to the folding cause and that they are the top team! Have spent the last few days researching protein folding and how it is useful and reckon it is an awesome way for computer enthusiasts be charitable! Currently folding on a R9 390x at around 300,000ppd which I think is reasonable? Tempted to get another GPU to increase PPD now! Happy Folding!

Well, from my other threads it's already clear that I'm here and folding for evga now. Last time I participated in one of these distributed projects was late 90s with the seti@home project. It's kind of fun to be back doing this sort of thing again. Right now I'm folding with 6 cores worth of my Core i7 6900 cpu, a 1080 SC, and a 960 SSC. I'll probably stop folding with the cpu, but we'll see. Also, I may test this out on my laptop (has nvidia geforce 860m gpu), and I'm morbidly curious whether there's any support for the built-in Intel graphics in my wife's old PC.
Happy EVGA customer. You can crunch on the Intel igpu. The lunatics seti optimizer does wonders for your seti crunching.
Welcome to the fold.

This question really should be under Crunching@EVGA Yes you can Crunch on the Intel igpu it will take much longer but you can. I did for One Folding Task for 78 Hours and for a credit of 3022, I would not recommend doing so. Also it took 60% usage of the CPU, i7-3770K You cannot easily Fold and Crunch at the Same time on the GPU and the CPU. You can Fold on the GPU and Crunch on the CPU or Fold on the CPU and Crunch on the GPU at the same time. When I do Fold I also Crunch on None Intense CPU Projects. Remember to leave ONE Thread Free for Each GPU Folding Task running.

It is best not to Fold (or Crunch) on the CPU or GPU of a Laptop. If you do place the Laptop in an area that is free of any item that can Burn like a bread rack in case it overheats and Catches Fire.

I was suggesting Crunching on the CPU while Folding on the GPU. It is in fact really easy to Crunch on CPU while Folding on GPU. Just don't allow any tasks on GPU in BOINC and individual project preferences and set your resource allocation accordingly. Easy peasy.

Change your team number to 111065. Easy, make use your folding name is in your evga profile.
