Almost at the end of my first week of folding. I did start as an individual folder then was with a team, and then found out about EVGA. Pretty impressed by the ethos of the company, so I changed to this team.
I did the passkey thing, is there anything else I should do?
Folding under 'for.uncle.Jeremy', same as my forum name.

Hello all! Just built my first PC a few weeks ago, and was looking for something like this. Found out about today, and got started right away. I'm sure I'm not optimized yet, as I really don't have a clue, but I'll get everything worked out. Figured since I'm running a pair of Titan X in SLI I could contribute, and as they're EVGA I eventually found this forum and joined up. So far it's looking like 1217652 points per day(?), FWIW. Thanks for all of the information available on the site. The EVGA bucks are a very nice touch as well!

Welcome Brain Sushi,
Be sure to turn sli off when folding on those beasts of cards.
Also leave 2 cpu cores for the gpu's if you are folding on the cpu. Most people do not cpu fold, me included. Not worth the PPD

I to fold with a pair of Titan X GPUs very nice cards right now my computer is folding for another member. Same here as Steve I don't fold on my CPU just not worth it any more.

I just started last month and recently got a 1080 FTW. I do seem to spend a lot of time not actually doing any work, though. When it does, it seems to go fast.

Definitely keep my GPUs busy. I put em out there to help find cures. EVGA bucks ate a nice bonus but not essential. Either way, welcome to the fold, no matter what your reasons are.

I am back guys! My father was so friendly to sponsor me a gtx 1070 after a few month break, because my 960 wasnt enough for 3 million points a month. I am now offically into the top 1000 (rank 984)  . I will continue to make my 3 million points a month which shouldnt be very hard  edit: changed to top 1000

welcome back, and 3 mil a month for these new 10xx series GPU's is a cake walk again. also i think you mean top 1000 not top 100 but still keep folding and you may just get there someday  EVGA has such a large pool of heavy folders.

Hello folding community,
How do I get to folding effectively - quickly.
Seems there are quite a few guides. I'm looking for the Reader Digest version.
I'd like to help hit that Big 100B landmark; and join the folding community.
I offer my 4790K build in my signature; those EVGA Titan X SC should crank out a few work units ?
They will eventually end up in my EVGA X99 Classified w/ 5960X.
Windows 10 Pro 64 bit, is on the PC.
Any help would be gladly taken

download and install the F@H client here: http://folding.stanford.edu/ once installed start the client with the link created on the desktop. once the page loads go to the top left of the page and click "Change Identity" Enter your name and put "111065" for team and then click the link to "get a passkey". (its required for bonus points) follow the instructions and enter the passkey they e-mailed you. click save and you are now folding@EVGA. after a few hours you can go here to see if you are now listed on the team: http://folding.extremeoverclocking.com/user_list.php?s=&t=111065 you can close the browser tab at any point, as it is running in the background. to pause/stop/configure the client click the F@H icon in your toolbar.

Thanks Will the PC fold fastest with SLI --- ON or OFF ? Remove the Bridge if SLI OFF ? Should I remove my CPU or GPU OCs ?

Thanks again Chris I'll have to start my own thread. No-Joy running this. Many questions on my part after looking it over. This software is not plug and play. 5 tries = 5 hard lockups within minutes of booting  My stable PC gets constant Clock_Watchdog_Timeout errors & never restarts - thought the error message says it will. It needs a hard reboot each and every time.
