I noticed they added shader cache, and preferred refresh rate to the list of 3d settings for applications shader chache to reduced CPU load it seems, and Preferred refresh rate for applications that don't play well with monitors that have say 120/144hz refresh rates.

Where do you see "Preferred refresh rate" I can't seem to find it.  I have a 120hz monitor.

Right below the yellow.  It's also in all the specific program settings for each game.  This pic is from Aug 2013, but that setting is in the same place...

BF4 performance, clarity, and smoothness is visually much improved across the board.  From, snipe, to vehicle and jet excellent.  No science here and will not take the time to develop the data.

One month out from Titanfall release and we still don't have SLI support such a disappointment.

I played one round of BF4 so far and it was noticeably smoother. Frames per second were noticeably higher. The lowest I noticed was maybe 115, it used to dip into the 90's. I looked at GPU usage and it is now locked in the upper 90's. It used to fluctuate a bit more than that. Not much, but definitely more.

This is the very best BF4 driver to date...

I -highly- recommend 337.50 for all BF4 users

I am not much of a BF4 player these days but i gave it a spin with my 2600k and 780 ti and wow, even i could instantly see the difference. As what was already said, they did not up my maximum fps much, what they did was up my minimum fps by a lot. It plays MUCH smoother.

the shader cache feuture is really impressive, definately does take away alot of the CPU usage in games I played.

Best comment ever. I will try it out tonight. Thanks to everyone posting so far!

How long does it normally take after the beta for a WHQL?

This is gonna sound wierd but I would get the beta's, I seem to have less problems with them then I do the WHQL oddly enough.

I agree, there is -no reason- of any kind to wait for a WHQL

Download these and give them a try

I maybe wrong here but I have always found beta drivers to have bugs/instability issues hence the term beta. There are many changes made to the driver before final release. And this is not to say release drivers are 100% stable because we all know thats not true either. I think one has a better chance of getting a stable driver on final release imo..

Did you do a fresh install?

it's all good now. Yeah I did a fresh install. Turns out I just needed to restart windows.
The framerate with TXAA on high is actually 10 fps higher than before .

hahaha, you're like an nvidia driver virgin or something.

ftr, whql just means NVIDIA ran tests on the driver and submitted the logs to microsoft.
it doesn't really mean the driver has no bugs, and my personal experience matches _Nite_'s

I agree.  I would never hesitate trying out a beta driver.  In many cases they run better than WHQL in my experience.

I think you might be right.  I've had that setting at least since last August with every driver, beta or whql.

Maybe I am missing something.  How would my monitor determine what options are in the NVidia control panel?  I could maybe understand some option not working with certain monitors but not being totally absent.
Please if someone knows how this could be, explain it to me.

After searching through Nvidia's website, I couldn't find anything directly related to this setting.  Nor could I find anything specific in the NVCPL's release notes.  Here's what the description says about it in the CP.

Just throwing in my two cents. I mostly play FF XIV and was having ridiculous game crashing/driver resetting issues with the last 335 driver. Since upgrading to the 337s here, I haven't had a single driver restart or crash at all, so I believe they fixed whatever that issue was for sure.

Yep, I'm seeing some performance gains here as well with Titanfall. Prior to this driver, I couldn't maintain 60fps with 8xMSAA, but with the new driver I can.

thats going to be a card specific issue really,  probably nvidia optimised the compiler too aggressively and pushed some cards harder then they can tolerate

people still have tesselation crashes in tomb raider..... and thats a good sign of bad hardware.

Thanks for looking this up.  I may be wrong. It may be related to the monitor I have (Overlord Tempest X270 OC )

On a side note.  I have been using automatic timings in the NVidia control panel to overclock my monitor to 116hz.  Anything higher than that and it would flicker etc.  This morning I am at 118Hz and played a couple of rounds of BF4 without any issues.  I will try for higher tonight when I get home.
