New here guys and I was told that EVGA makes the best GPU's. I have seen that pretty much EVGA sells everything to build a gaming rig, and needed some advice from you guys on here. Now money is no issue but I also dont want to spend money on features that I will not use. I want a rig that pretty much plays games and lets me also do some office work. With that said I also want a high end rig. I am a bit tech savy but a noob to building a pc. I know I want a intel cpu i7, but which one, so many to choose and really do not know which one to pick. Everything else I wan it to be EVGA. So if you guys could give me some advice I would appreciate it alot. Thanks in advance.

Really it depends on the type of games that interests you and what types of software you use in the office. Someone who likes RTS or MMO games might need a very different system then someone who enjoys FPS games online. Then we would want to make sure your computer build is made for the office software you run since some people would have very different demands. Also it would depend on what monitor you would want to use as what video card would be best. I mean the rain easy to say the 1080ti is the graphics card to get but it’s kind of overkill for 1080p gaming.

Do what Whisperingshadow did but for the GPU get the EVGA GTX 1080Ti FTW3 Hybrid! (I love mine!)

Need some advice

I would go with the GTX 1080Ti for a GPU i7-8700k for the CPU. I have the i5-8600k hexcore no HT. 239$ Sweet CPU. You would like that or the i7-8700k 330ish z370 chipset motherboard, either the EVGA board or an Asus or Asrock. I have the Asrock killer sli a/c Works good for me. EVGA 850w gold or platnum PSU. I have the 850 gold g1 Works fine. Gskill memory DR4 3000, 16-32GB. Gskil makes good memory and had great cust service. 250-500gb NVME drive for the OS (samsung960) A 2tb enterprise drive for files, or as larges as you need. I like Hitachi Ultrastar drive myself. Can use a 1tb SSD for games, but should play fine off the regular drive. Or two 1tb drives in a raid array ( Ultrastar in a raid ) I like AIO watercoolers, EVGA makes a nice 280mm one that keeps my 8600k nice and cool. OC to 4.8ghz. Had good luck with the corsair hydro series 115i too. Also would get a hybrid GPU or go water cooling. But if it is a work computer used to surf and play games, may want to stay air cooled. in case a pump fails. Just will not be able to overclock quite as high.

Judging by the build in your signature. I would go with a 1080ti FTW3 to get the most out of the experience. And since money is not an issue, go ahead and get me one too ;P

I run 4k @ 60hz fine with just one GTX 1080 Ti, mind you, I do not run most games at ultra settings but rather high settings. FPS are steady between 50 to 60. Running two in SLI would help, you mention money is not an issue, so get 2 lol.

Two 1080 ti's is definitely a good idea, but new cards are right around the corner, so you may want to hold out for them instead.

I would have to agree with this if you're aim is to play in 4k. The upcoming GPU will be obviously faster than the 1080ti and would be better at 4k than the 1080 Ti. Pricing should probably be at $799 (all fingers crossed) just like the FE editions of 1080 Ti, so that would make more sense. Even if it's a bit more expensive than the 1080 Ti, prices should come down once they release, so you get the best of both worlds.
