I can't say I'm really surprised, to be honest. I think nVidia is starting to realize the dire straits they are in as a brand with their primary consumer and if they launch with insufficient supply, being bought out by miners and scalpers, there will be hell to pay.
In the pandemic it isn't just about "Who has the fastest card" it's also about "Who hast the most cards available".
Many people are willing to switch from Green to Red (and vice versa) because of availability.

I hear ya, but were pretty much past the logistic down time from the pandemic. Honestly alot of industry in MFG are pretty much all hands on deck. So I don't know if we can keep pointing the finger there. Maybe the Tarrifs, but even then we have a different guy on top in the US, so I dunno. Still damn near Icy relations with China trade wise. There's a massive disconnect between the actual problem vs the presumptions. I don't have the answer, but something tells me the bottleneck that's been screwing with the GPU industry will give way soon (like within a year or so) and this will all be one real crappy nightmare that's finally past us.
