If Nvidia really doze the RTX 3070/80 above $700/$1K, along with current/next gen games and higher end gpus, Im giving up newer games and just stick to 4K/60Hz/Freesync and call it a day and be finding other hobbies, its bad enough the trash we get with current gen games....

The power plug, if true, should be an improvement. The 12-pin connector body is the same size as a single 8-pin, yet can deliver more power than two 8-pin connectors. That's due to slightly larger gauge, while the pin pitch is reduced to 3mm. So, you get one cable per card, the size of a single 8, that does the job of two. The downside, it will rip a hole in the fabric of space and time. Change. We fear change.

Keep in mind when it ramped up in 2017 people invested heavy into trying to build bitcoin rigs but it quickly crashed and very few people really made money off of investing in these mining rigs. While the value of the bitcoin looks good keep in mind mining a bitcoin becomes harder now then it was in 2017. I think these new cards could possibly be used for mining but do I think some home user is going to be able to max out a credit card buying video cards and make a profit off bitcoin? no.

Keep in mind when it ramped up in 2017 people invested heavy into trying to build bitcoin rigs but it quickly crashed and very few people really made money off of investing in these mining rigs. These cards can't mine bitcoin. They can mine cryptocurrency. But not bitcoin.

RTX performance 3-4x ....a July 2020 update confirming that we're still to expect a huge 3-4x performance upgrade in ray tracing performance with the Ampere GPU architecture over the current-gen Turing GPU architecture. If this is true, the next-gen Ampere-based GeForce RTX 3000 series cards will indeed makes "Turing look like Kepler trying to run DX12". It appears that AMD’s US engineers have yet to visit the China-based manufacturing test labs to assess the final GPU performance. This means all previous leaks regarding Big Navi’s performance are bogus.

OK I read the article. There's no way a 3080 gets a GA102 chip. It will have a GA103 or GA104, likely with a cut down.
GA102-200-KD-A1 is the 3080 Ti. 30% better than 2080 Ti, as expected.

NVIDIA is about to set the bar even higher; by introducing even more complex power delivery for the upcoming GA102 GPU board design, new rumors suggest. The company has been upgrading its power delivery design for high-end models with each generation. The last 2 generations have seen a noticeable upgrade in a number of components and their quality. While the number of power stages is often meaningless to casual gamers, those seeking higher clocks are definitely going appreciate the current stability. A new rumor suggests that the PCB might see yet another upgrade with up to 20 chokes. We are not sure which model the leaker referring to though. The same PCB is expected to be available for RTX TITAN Ampere, RTX 3080 Ti (3090) and RTX 3080. All these cards are supposedly using the same PG133 board design. There is allegedly also PG132, which was designed for board partners, but unlike the 133 it features a regular rectangular shape. The leaked RTX 3080 PCB revealed that the company has been working on a complex irregular shaped board design with two fans pointing in different directions. Such a design required the components to be squeezed around a V-shaped fan hole. NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30 Ampere Enthusiast Gaming Graphics Cards To Feature Powerful PCB Designs, Over 20 Chokes Rumored For Founders Edition
KatCorgi states that the RTX 30 series lineup, specifically the high-end GeForce RTX 3080 Ti & the RTX 3080, are expected to feature PCBs with over 20 power chokes. For comparison, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Ti Founders Edition features a PCB with 16 power chokes. Even the fully custom GeForce RTX 2080 Ti Lightning Z from MSI comes with 19 power chokes. This seems to suggest the insane power delivery that the higher-end RTX 30 series graphics cards would require to operate.
It looks like the higher-end card is going to feature core components on both sides of the PCB to normalize the heat output from the components such as GPU, memory, and VRMS. It will be a very densely packed PCB and even with a compact PCB, we will be seeing full-sized dual-fan coolers that are required to keep the temperatures in check on these beasts of graphics cards.
From the looks of it, if Ampere gaming cards are to utilize a similar board design as the Ampere A100 EGX which is purely a datacenter oriented product, the card would have to make use of both sides of the PCB to house all of its components. The EGX board uses a 20+ power choke design too but also leverages from the use of HBM which saves the space of incorporating standard DRAM dies such as GDDR6. In the case of the Ampere gaming cards, NVIDIA would have to house either the VRM or the VRAM on the back of the PCB which might explain the dual-sided fan layout we saw on the leaked cooler shrouds.
- The so-called 24/20GB 384/320-bit is only right.
- 3090 is 24GB, it’s no problem. I also confirmed that it’s also confirmed by pushing KatCorgi.
- If the video memory is high-speed, 16Gbit particles will not be used. The same core, but 3080 seems to be a re-proofed PCB, rather than 3090 cut two particles to make.
- By the way, this particle arrangement of 3090 is very interesting. One particle is placed underneath. Learn about agricultural enterprises?

Alleged NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Enthusiast Ampere Gaming Graphics Card PCB Pictured – Triple 8-Pin Connectors, Tons of Next-Gen G6 Memory  NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Graphics Card's PCB Leaks Out - Dual-Sided Next-Gen G6 Memory, Triple 8-Pin Connectors & A Secondary Chip Looking at the card itself, there are at least 11 memory modules on the backside which seems to indicate dual-sided memory. Historically, cards with dual-sided memory chips feature the same amount of dies on either side so this would indicate 22 memory modules on the card. Considering these are 1 GB modules, the card could end up with 22 GB of VRAM across a 352-bit bus interface. However, earlier rumors have indicated 20 GB for the RTX 3080 Ti and 24 GB of GDDR6X memory for the flagship variant. A recent rumor posted on Baidu forums suggests that NVIDIA is planning a 22 GB graphics card with a 352-bit bus interface so we might be looking at this right now. Again as far as core & VRAM specifications are concerned, nothing is confirmed so far. Fake pict most likely. New cards are supposed to have a new 12 pin power plug, that is not that. I know people will say hey it could be just for a eng sample etc... but if your using a new plug wouldnt you want that on the eng sample too to make sure delivery is enough, correct, or just working?

Ha! Using a rumor to determine the validity of another rumor.
From my understanding, the rumor was that all models would have versions which didn't use a 12-pin connector. From my understanding, the 12-pin connector was rumored to be used by OEMs (such as HP and Dell), and may or may not also be available in some versions in the consumer retail space, but there should, according to rumor, be versions of all models in the consumer retail space which don't use a 12-pin connector.

 An alleged picture of the ZOTAC GeForce RTX 3080 Ampere gaming graphics card has also leaked out over at Reddit. Micron confirms NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 gets 21Gbps GDDR6X memoryIn a technology brief, Micron has confirmed that GeForce RTX 3090 will sport memory based GDDR6X technology. Micron has supplied memory modules for GeForce graphics cards for years now, the GDDR6X partnership takes it to the next step. NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 graphics card is listed on the Micron website with 12GB GDDR6X memory. Micron estimates that GeForce RTX 3090 will be able to break the 1 TB/s barrier with a bandwidth expected between 912 to 1008 GB/s. In order to achieve 1TB/s bandwidth, the graphics card would require a clock speed of 21 Gbps and a memory bus of 384-bit (21*384/8). The speed is clearly not yet set for the NVIDIA SKU, but it should be between 19 and 21 Gbps. It has been long speculated that the new high-end NVIDIA graphics cards might feature GDDR6X memory, however, not a single memory manufacturer confirmed it until now. A guy I know told me, that he heard it from a girl who heard it from another guys housekeeper that her boss said that a guy he works with knows it is actually going to have 20 ARM microprocessors on the new cards....

I don't get why everyone's buying into this. Unless they're retiring the Titan nomenclature for the "3090" ...there's no way they go back to sticking 2 GPUs on a PCB. It didn't work back then, it isn't going to work now, especially with most developers skipping SLI support altogether...
I still despise seeing WCCFTech used as a source for rumors. They're a clickbait website that posts crap after crap just to generate views.

I'll wait till there's some GPUs with Samsung memory on there because that's just my preference. Nothing wrong with Micron.

Here, the GeForce RTX 3090 is said to be operating at 1900 MHz at standard load and hits around 2.0 GHz when loaded up in 3DMark Time Spy Extreme. It is stated that the custom variants can hit clocks around 2100 MHz which is similar to where the existing RTX 20 series high-end cards end up. In graphics performance, the RTX 3090 scores around 10,000 points with existing drivers but new revision would boost the performance to hit scores of up to 11,000-11,5000 points.
