Hello all!

So I'll keep this short for now but I'll say this I'm impressed, the only thing lacking is the aesthetics IMO, but maybe I can post something I can come up with :) hehe.  I'll post more later but I've been testing out the boards and they blow away the competition when it comes to DDR5 OC running 4 dimms and dual rank 64 gig kits. Metric ton of options even to choose what micro code the cpu runs at? 3 bioses? Can instantly reload last saves without using a profile? Massive list of profiles over everyone else? 12 layers? 14 layers?

I''ve had alot of your boards in the past from x79/x99/x299 still do! but I never used them in my main system because I needed other features now that you guys have dual nics, etc and the quality is outstanding way beyond your competition that's for sure.  The only thing that you guys lack now is aesthetics but that's a subjective matter but it's a shame these boards are top notch and should be more wide spread on the adoption, and yeah I have nothing but good things to say.

Comparing these boards to the ASUS, and others the foundations are worlds apart the only thing is the aesthetics layered ontop of a poor foundation vs a more industrial approach.

Keep it up guys!

well, the aesthetic look was designed to be dark.  But add some LEDs if you want to.  Don't forget to saver your settings to USB or you can loose them with a cmos reset.

Actually the board keeps the settings there's an option to reload last saved settings, also the profiles seem to be saved even after bios updates. I'm still doing tests, one thing is this normal? I see a bunch of little holes and seems like the traces are separated in this area? I'm trying to push dual rank configs as high as it can go.

So I'm just assuming it's alright nothing to the holes/ surroundijg area. It's on the masking layer.

I'll check with our MB team, but they won't be back in the office until Monday.  If the board is working fine otherwise, I wouldn't worry about it in the meantime.

Z690 Classified is one of the best looking board for sure, but poor memory oc ruining all good things about this MB
I wish EVGA would make a 2-dimm Z690 Classified 2.0  for same 330$ and everyone would be happy

If EVGA did this and made a B550 MSI Unify-X like product, nothing else would ever sell. We just want 1 PCIE, 2 DIMM, 2 M.2 for $300.

Our team notes that it is unusual, which we all pretty much knew.  They don't have a concern that the board has a mechanical issue, but if you want to do an RMA we can set one up.

Probably air bubbles from the manufacturing process.  If the board is a performer, id personally put down the microscope and enjoy it.

Okay I'll submit an rma it's just for peace of mind. It's brand new and if I build the custom loop and I have to tear it down would be more annoying. Thanks

First Time ASUS/ROG MB+GPU build. I really wanted to go EVGA Like I've done since the X79 SLI But, I couldn't find that value/performance at the price point they set the Classy at.

OKay one thing. I have both the apex and the classified. They are both $699 but the Classified has 12 layers (Apex doesn't) I'm sure it's still an 8 layer. It has dual Nics 10G/2.5G (Apex doesn't) It has more bioses, better construction backplate. 4Dimm slots if you want to fill it all up, I bet it can still do HIGH memory OC with 2Dimms given it's construction and 12 layers and yet it's the worse value? Come on. At these price points it's not about value anymore you might as well spend the extra $100 on the Kingpin and get a far better board than the Apex if you want a 2Dimm board.

For me Value is VRM/Choke quality, XMP/RAM performance, Over clocking and a Quality BIOS with true Enthusiast settings. Also I'd rather have more USB ports then multiple NIC's and a 12 layer PCB. Since when has it been proven more layers makes for better performance? The X79 Dark wasn't that great, even with more "Layers" then most boards. I've been using EVGA products for over 18yrs. Love and miss their GPU's (not so much their 30 series that had issues). Their MB BIOS's have been pretty lack luster IMO, They've had MB performance and compatibility issues. Shoot my first MB the X79 SLI didn't even work out of the box. I had to RMA so they could swap bios chip out then the non-op USB ports. Thank gosh EVGA has awesome customer service. I guess it took me 12 yrs to figure out there are Better boards out there, better BIOS's and Quality where it matters.

Just My Opinion though. To each their own.

Why did you buy 2 Z90 motherboards?
