Hi All - I have an EVGA GeForce RTX 2080 Ti XC ULTRA, part number 11G-P4-2383-KR When I try to overclock the card in Afterburner, it shows up as "NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER". It also shows up as a 2080 Super in the Windows Device Manager. I checked the card and it's clearly labeled 2080 Ti. The part number on the back is 11G-P4-2383-KR, which matches up with EVGA GeForce RTX 2080 Ti XC ULTRA. The Serial Number on the card's PCI connector also matches up with that part number. Any idea what's going on here? Do I need to re-install it, update the drivers, or flash the BIOS? Is there some kind of common chipset between the 2080 Ti and 2080 Super that could be confusing my computer? Thanks James

Where did you get the GPU ? In Afterburner - near the top - click the "i" button ---> what does it say card, GPU chip & the BIOS number are ?

I have attached an image from GPU-Z. In Afterburner it says: Display device : NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER on TU104-A GPU BIOS : 90.04.7a.00.c8 So it appears both of those support the 2080 Super identification. I got the card as part of a system I bought. I've asked the systems integrator for copies of the original receipts. I can't ignore the possibility that the card could be altered or counterfeited somehow. But when I examine it closely, it certainly looks like the real thing. I can't see any obvious signs of tampering. If it's a fake, it's a good fake to my untrained eye. So that's why I want to see if there are any other explanations I can look into. If it is a counterfeit, are there any signs or giveaways I should look for that would help me identify it as such? Is this a common problem? James

GPU-Z shows the GPU has having 8GG of memory a 2080 TI has 11GB of memory. How much memory does AfterBurner say the GPU has? Looks to me like you have a 2080. I'd start with a hard side eye at wherever you got the system. It appears you got ripped off. If the back of your GPU does not look like this

It could have been flashed with a SUPER BIOS but they can't hide the amount of memory it will show - so by the gpu-Z page, you have a 2080 SUPER Someone has some explaining to do from where you got it...

I would go back to where you purchased the system and see if they mistakenly put the wrong card in the system...do you have an itemized receipt? Was it mail order or did you purchase at a local builder? If the serial number label on the back of the card shows what you stated in the original post...the either the serial label got switched or mistakenly put on that card. Here are some images of what your card "should" look like Your plate is shiny chrome...the 2080TI looks matte black

have you actually looked inside the computer to see what's actually written on the GPU? sounds like they put in a 2080 Super instead of the 2080ti you ordered. Mistake on the system builder's part. send it back for a refund.

The Serial Number on the card's PCI connector also matches up with that part number. First post. There's very obvious physical differences in the appearance. One being the 3 tang backplate '2.75.' slot GPU whereas the 2080 Super is not.

sounds like someone scamming. check the power plugs. are they 8pin+8-pin? or 8pin+6pin? if it's 8+6, dead giveaway you were scammed by a cooler swap. all 2080tis have 8+8pin inputs. in the XC line, all the lesser cards have 8+6 pin. EVGA in an attempt to cut costs, made all of the coolers and heatsinks and PCBs pretty cookie cutter, and they can be swapped across models. so you can take any XC/XC Ultra card PCB (2070XC through 2080ti), and wrap it in whatever GPU kit you want to pass it off as. the serial sticker is on the backplate and easily swapped, the PCIe sticker isnt too hard to peel off a donor card to swap onto the new one. i've seen this before on ebay. someone even once tried to pass off a 2070 black (which has a single 8-pin, mid-card) by swapping just the plastic housing since the cooler itself couldnt be swapped.
