They do now have the kingpin hydro copper listed in the store again though.   https://www.evga.com/products/product.aspx?pn=400-HC-1589-B1&associatecode=5XTLDFI2DFXIPA7

Just remember though if you sign up for auto notify and they come back in stock and you miss out you will then have to submit your auto notify again.

There has been a couple people thats using them with great results however they are also saying that the block hits the mini display port connectors on the pcb and should be sanded down a bit for clearance.

Do you use the thin washers on both side of the card in your kit? Or the thicker washer on the top side of the card for the ek water block?

You use the thin white plastic washer on both sides of the PCB for the studs. The thicker washer/spacer is not used.

No problem, those stud nuts are kinda tough to get started, once they are it's just tighten them equally little by little.

I didn't drill anything or modify the original card PCB. As far as I remember I just removed the cover, removed the liquid cooler, installed the shim, installed the new water block. There are better instructions somewhere. Are you installing an EK block or bykski block?

I can buy an Ek block and cooper shim for cheap.

If It is so easy as dismount liquid cooler and install the shim and Ek block on place I will think about it .. If i have to drill something or lose warranty i will wait. Thanks.

I've been enjoying the naked look but a month later the bykski block arrived from aliexpress and I'm torn on what to do; I think bykski block has better overall thermals and matches rainbow puke mode better.

Yeah the bykski block is a better solution overall especially if you take the time to do the notches so it fits good and you can use the OLED screen.

If you use the EK thermosphere no modification is needed you just use the shim only, if you use the EK vga supremacy then the 4 holes on the memory coldplate need to be drilled from 11/64 to 13/64 so it will fit over the studs. The difference in drilling of the holes is so small that the cold plate can still be put back on and the card put back as it came from the factory without even being noticeable.

Does anyone happen to know if the coldplate from the 2080 ti kingpin is the same that's used on the EVGA HYBRID Kit for EVGA GeForce RTX 2080 Ti FTW3?
I'm going to try to unscrew the coldplate off the Hybrid kit, and use it on a Kraken M22 AIO. The M22 has the pump in the rad and if you remove the NZXT block cover its the same size as the evga clc used in the 2080 ti kingpin. Going to cut the hoses at the end of the M22 rad and use them in an open loop. I have the fittings for the hoses and everything planned out. I just need to know if the evga gpu coldplates are the same?

It seems to me that the plates are a little different but the screw pattern is the same. Not 100% sure though.

Why is the cold-plate holding you up? Just go with the bykski.

would you recommend the Bykski?
I'm new to pc and I got my Kingpin near the end of last year. I was unaware that all the "Kingpin" items are "limited release".
I've also been having trouble where the OLED display is saying my GPU1 temp is 10c more than PX1 shows.
its been going on for about 2 months now, already tried removing and reinstalling PX1. already tried to update the kingpin firmware to the most recent "FA42" but nothing seems to work.
here's a picture of my pc and a picture of the temp display with PX1. the only temp close to what the OLED displays is MEM1, but I dont know why it would be that one lol.
also, I have the OLED set to Default, I dont have a custom display where it shows certain temps. everything is stock.

Yeah the bykski block cools better then the hydro copper did and better then the ekwb mods. In my previous post you can see the mods to the block if you still want an OLED screen readout.

Also, do you know of any way I can fix my temp problem mentioned above?

I wouldn't be worried about it until you get your loop done and see what kind of difference you have. But if you change your settings in px1 to monitoring and then change to option 2 I think it is you will have 3 rows on the display as well as other monitoring choices like GPU die, mem 1, mem2, and many others
