Well this certainly isn't good news for those who upgrade their CPUs on Windows 7 and 8.1. I assume this is a workaround method by Microsoft to force users to upgrade/install Windows 10.

Apparently if you don't like what MS is selling, they will just force it on you...

Maybe because Windows 10 adoption is losing market share and Windows 7 is actually growing again...

Perhaps the government should break up M$ like they did to AT&T years ago. Microsoft is way to big for their britches.

Maybe. They really need some good competition, but most programs are written and designed for Windows.

Their hold on the market has gotten to them, now they're pulling all sorts of crap, and Windows 10 is not a spectacular OS IMO.

@knightsilver I definitely agree, people and corporations are abusing technology too much. We have some neat and convenient stuff these days, but what's the point if we keep being stupid with it and ruin it for everyone?

MS is really starting to anger people quite a bit. Myself included. Looks like I will be sticking to my 4820K for a while longer than expected.

As long as your popular enough, you can get away with anything.

Obviously in this article I’m talking about the Windows operating systems. From the looks of it, Linux will support multi-GPUs.

I hope something is done about the auto/forced updates/drivers. As far as the MS snooping, its not going away, its a shame Americans give up so much just for tech....

I don't mind the forced regular updates that much. It's the forced driver updates, don't tell me what drivers I need to make my computer run its best. Driver they might give you may solve one persons problem but break someone else's. This is why I'm still on Windows 7. I don't like the snooping either. Its not like Microsoft is the only one though. Google and Facebook do it as well.

A link from 2015? No thanks.

There is only 1 way to go, and that is forward. You cannot keep going back to the old ways of doing things and come out ahead.

I'm ok with the "spying." They need information to make things better. If problems don't get reported, then they don't get fixed. There are multiple levels of what they collect and they can be set during initial install or whenever you would like. Do you think MS hasn't been "spying" before W10? I believe they have.
I'm ok with automatic updates, especially security updates. Drivers are different. I don't know how many times I've gone to a relatives house and they have a few hundred updates to do and it takes hours to do. They usually have a low end PC from 2005-2010 with an HDD and has all of the crapware/bloatware installed from the manufacturer.
