Hey guys, wondering if I could get any help here, the MoH forums, steam forums etc are way too packed with creepsters.
 
1. I download MoH MP
2. First time launch, PB installer pops up, I accidentally hit the "do not install" button or i disagree or whatever it was
3. the game starts regardless and what do you know i get an error saying i need to install pb when i try to join a server, thats what i expected after i fed up
3. i go into the MoH files in my Steam folder and find the PB install file and run it.
4. start up Multiplayer again, try to join a server, same error "you need to install PB"
5. made sure the pb services were running, put the updates in the pb file like it says on the punbuster website, same error.
6. uninstall MoH, reinstall...same fing error.

Any help?

just by the way i did the initial launch right the second time, installed PB etc, still same error

Go to the punkbuster website and download the manual updater. I use it for several games that don't auto update PB themselves
Punkbuster/support and the manual updater file is PBSETUP

To use the updater for steam games you need to "Brouse" for the correct game path

Try this man. I'm pretty sure it will fix you right up.
 
1: Download and run this. http://punkbuster.com/index.php?page=pbsetup.php
 
2: Uninstall punkbuster with the above file. (precautionary measure)
 
3: Reopen the file from step 1 and install punkbuster.
 
4: download and install this: http://www.evenbalance.co..wnloads/pbsvc/pbsvc.exe
 
If the last step succeeds and finishes the tests. You should be good to go. The reason I say uninstall first is a safety measure. Should clear up any registry hiccups.
