It’s not “dumb luck” imo. They’re somehow circumventing the queue pages with scripting. They won’t admit to it but “bots” constantly ping the site to get in early and if they were setting it up way early to prepare for the go live a bot watching that page would have caught it. Sad to say for those folks they’re not likely to get their cards first as in pretty sure they won’t honor queue slots before it was officially open. Good luck tho, you’re so “lucky” lol

I doubt it. Even if they get in each order is reviewed manually from what I've read. I've got into the first wave of almost everything side from 3999 and 3989 (passed on all but two).

In my case, I simply mis-read the go live as 9AM EST, I hit F5 until I got in,  I didn't even realize the issue until the first post.  If EVGA opts to throw out my reservation they'll be loosing a long time customer.  And honestly, they can look at my other notifies to see that there is nothing special about my que positions.  From looking at the que it looks like one other user had the same experience and got in the que the same minute, my bet is that they have a very similar story to mine.

i don't really know what to tell you. i wouldn't doubt that they'll honor your weird early position, as they were fine selling a card to a proven scalper last time around.
 
as for them "losing a long time customer" it would seem that they were more interested in opening up "elite" to as many people that could post 100 times in the forums than they were taking care of actual long term customers or even short term customers.

Oh, you're saying that the 6/15/2021 6:06:23 and 6/15/2021 6:06:31 are using bots. I didn't catch those times initially. I'm not buying someone randomly trying early and getting in. Super fishy imo.

The problem is, how many “someones” do we have in the pre-queue? How many were able to get in before the official queue time? And how does/will evga want to handle them? That’s the question(s).

If it’s really a handful of people and eVGA caught the mistake and updated the website, that’s fine, but if there are hundreds of people in the pre-queue and eVGA decides to honor those positions, I don’t think anyone on the correct side of 9:00 PST is ever seeing those cards.

Let’s be honest, eVGA has messed this thing royally ever since their elite kumbaya announcement.

It was on Twitter a few days ago, and I saw it announced on a couple Discords.

Personally, I saw the twitter post from EVGA saying 9AM, thought it was 9am EST as it usually is. I woke up a bit earlier, was refreshing, and at 6:06 PST it let me in and allowed me to put in a notify. None of the other cards worked though, and then I realized it was probably a mistake. Didn't realize other people encountered the same thing too, glad I'm not alone.

Lol this guys account is 1 week old that is a huge red flag. Also Jacobs tweet said 9:00 am PST was when the queue opens. The 6:00 am people most definitely were using scripting and bots to monitor the Evga site .....
