Steve from GN recommends using a non-smart power supply for liquid nitrogen like his EVGA 1600 and I noticed other extreme overclockers shying away from the digital power supplies as well. It could just be superstition though. If you don’t plan on going LN2 then none of that is relevant anyway.

Great point that I didn't know about! I don't plan to do LN2 but will push it's limits on air cooling. Am I better off with non-digital PSU? Reality is without LN2 doubt the card itself uses more than 500w. What's the reason behind digital controlled PSUs not ideal for LN2?

It looks like it was actually less than 30 seconds.  I clock it at 25 seconds. Everybody on the list owes their F5 finger the night off.

Unless they have overnight with Saturday on it, I likely would not get mine until Monday. Overnight seems to always be two-day for me on the East coast.

The normal UPS ground shipping gets it to me by noon the next day. Why would you need to pay extra for overnight?

Do you need that much power for a single card? I’m genuinely curious. I have 1000w psu and an i9 9900k @5.0GHz. Would I need more for the 3090 kingpin oced on ambient (no ln2)?

No, I don't need 1600w for Kingpin. You will be fine with 1000w. The reason I bought AX1600i is that to keep my usage around 50% of it's capacity so it runs cool and quiet. Also it's hands down the best consumer PSU out there and is extremely efficient so wanted to be done with PSU conversation for a while and for my future upgrades

Just because you live down the road from EVGA and ground shipping gets to you next day doesnt mean its going to travel to the complete opposite side of the US with Ground in the same time. Or were you just using this as an excuse to flex again?
