I refuse to upgrade past 359.00 for that reason! If a driver installer has to download a file during installation and call home to verify said installation, forget it. Nvidia only cares about Nvidia. Check out guru3d forums, no one has seen or heard from ManuelG in almost a year. They basically left us out to dry, but who cares right? Im not going to the red team, haha.




ManuelG is active on Guru3D though it's been a week or so since his last post. I've installed drivers without internet and it works fine. I also use a modified driver installer that installs the older Nvidia Update component and leaves out GFE. It's a fairly easy hack to keep game and driver updates without GFE. Use the modified text in post 10 by Maxio.
