Nothing as been benchmarked and I am really curious what real numbers will be. I mean I have had my X299 set up for going on 4 years. And to be honest it works peachy.
I mean I DO have upgrade fever as it has been forever, but I tend to NEVER jump that gun. Even Moores Law from Youtube  says while Alderlake is a GREAT Intel chip, but as long as your works now do you REALLY
need to upgrade, especially when the next Intel or AMD chip planned will be solid improvement over this chip AND DDR 5 prices will be lower...

This doesn't mean I don't want to and I boy am tempted, but DO I REALLY need to is an over riding thought, given I can't even get a 30 series GPU, JUST like a lot here...
Just my 2 cents and I would NEVER EVER tell anyone what to do! Congrats and use well to any one that has pre-ordered!

These 2 boards are on my list of 5 under consideration. Beautiful boards EVGA! For looks I do give a preference to the KINGPIN.

Gives DDR5 time to pump out some higher XMP numbers, so I'm fine with waiting a bit to grab my 12900k and a KPE.

Really miss EVGA boards, JUST got my SR-2 Classified board thats going into my caselabs project I'm working on.

Most don't need to upgrade for a longtime. The enthusiast market is all a want vs need market, same with gamer's. many games still run fine or okay on 10 series GPU's.  Upgrading or changing out is just the way of the non business computing world goes. Enthusiast  are what push the technology to new levels and keep these companies creating new stuff. If you rely on 90% of the business world running a 3-6 year old i3 or i5 with iGPU and 8-16gb of ram we wouldn't see new components but once every 4-5 years.
Myself I need all new tech as soon as it comes out. Well i tell myself i need it, that helps me justify it.

Please give us an approximate ETA for these MOBOs!  I have almost everything I need including a 12900k for MSRP!  The only thing I need for my build is a MOBO and ddr5 RAM.  If I have to wait too long, Ill go with another brand, but my nearly 12 year old MOBO is an EVGA, which makes me a fan, because of how reliable it has been!

Do either of the Z690 boards have a 2-pin thermal header? Please say they remembered this time... but I don't see one on the currently available images.

WE NEED ETA ON THE MOBOS!!!! I need to upgrade from 9900K to 12900K!

Late this year is what I heard. Considering supply constraints, I would not be surprised if that ends up into early 2022 though.

Well my patience has been exhausted. My 12900k ships today and no confirmation from EVGA on board release dates or even preorder info for that matter. I have historically been an EVGA loyalist, but I'm not waiting around to find out release date and end up stuck in "queues" and no mobo until 2022 at some point.

I am not a fan of mobo manufacturers "teasing" their products alongside the actual processor release announcements and preorders and leaving consumers wondering "when" for weeks.

I still love you EVGA, but hope you take this feedback to heart and improve going forward. Good luck everyone!

Trigger pulled on Aorus Master.

I pulled the trigger on an Asus Maximus Hero. Mainly because the board has extra screw holes to accept LGA 1200 brackets/coolers and because of the quick release button for the main PCI-E graphics slot.

I would have went with the EVGA Classified if I could have but since release dates are all out the window, it wasn’t an option.

No boards on launch day? Everything else is already ordered. Unfortunately had to go with MSI for this build. I miss when EVGA was ahead of the curve.

Managed to score a 16gb set of crucial. The only thing I need to figure out is the bracket for my Corsair AIO.

Stood in line at Microcenter and got my 12900k.
I declined a motherboard at this time because I am waiting on my ddr5. Also I am waiting on a EK lga1700 block so I have some patience. EK says "mid november" which probably means december.

Need to know price as well. $500 is my ceiling. I hope that is reasonable considering the FTW Z590 is $430

From the picture of the z690 Dark KP I just seen on Twitter, EVGA is using the same debug leds that are failing on the z590 Dark. Wish they would have just stuck with the ones on the z390 Dark, which are also only half the height of the new ones.

On another note, Have a new in box sealed z590 Dark and a barely used 10900KF for sale now...

To be fair, we don't know if the debug LEDs are the actual cause of their own failure. It could have been a bad batch, a driving component could be bad instead, or they could have changed them to a different one that just looks identical. We won't know if there's a problem at all unless someone has one die or if EVGA actually addresses it. The problem is that a 7-segment display looks like a 7-segment display. If you showed me two right now and one was identical to the one on my motherboard, but the other was just a different brand, I'm not sure I could tell you which was which unless they had starkly different designs. Honestly, they could likely at any point just change the driver out to hit them with 25-50% less current and they'd still be plenty bright enough and likely never fail. They're way brighter than they need to be right now...at least on my board. I'm just saying that's a relatively easy fix and we'd never see the difference looking at a picture of the board. You'd have to have two boards next to each other and powered up.

Same. I took to long to research who makes good ram now days, that it sold out everywhere. I did get my 12700k shipped out to me though.

What RAM are you guys planning on throwing on your boards?
