Still rocking a GTX 970 which served me well but since now I own a 4K OLED its excruciating not being able to play any modern AAA games at 4K 60fps at good graphics quality. Hopefully I could get this 3080ti. I am desperate but not desperate enough to give any money to those a**holes scalpers.
Also, new member here, noticed how active EVGA forums are and looking forward to interacting with you guys.

2. with respect to the 3080 Tis, whether just the air-cooled models are launching on June 3 or all of the models including the hybrids and the hydro coppers, and
I had asked Jacob on twitter and it seems the hybrids won't immediately be available.
Damn, what a shame, the hybrids are the coolest looking :(

the EVGA queue is the best thing to happen during the pandemic retail gpu wise. Best Buy drops have been so disappointing and I gave up on Shuffle after tens of tries.

Unless I am mistaken, the PCBs on the TI are exactly the same as the 3080. So any delays with water blocks/etc would be entirely on the vendor.

I know that Nvidia said that these have mining limiters. But do you guys think the miners can like buy up all the cards and mess with them to unlock those limiters??? Just read the news about these limiters
If the mining limiter isnt hardware backed and only software then its only a matter of time. The higher the demand the faster it'll get cracked and that demand is going up again on crypto from its recent drop and other oportunists that didn't get on with it might do it now. Other than that, the chip shortage will also make it that the supply will be limited and scalping oportunists will use any means necesary to scalp. It looks grim. Just gotta try harder and hope the demand isn't too high.

You can become elite by having 100 forum messages. You have 2 days to do it, it's doable if you have enough time :D You can find topics in the General Discussion forums to increase your forum post count (words game, ect...). There will probably be more elite members queueing than cards available at launch so if you really want a card you want to be elite before it's out!

I am actually gunning for 3080ti. Recently my disposable incoming has increased and my budget for an upgrade followed suit. Considering PS5 will promote AAA games in the future to get better graphics and I want 4K60 I think my only choice is 3080ti unfortunately.

Really wish we could get some benchmarks on these, even just the FE or base models. The 3rd party will be a bit different but that's fine, I wanna see what the difference is stock. I'm only running 2K 144hz but want to do 2k ultra wide 165+ and the regular 3070 starts to get bottlenecked at that res. I have a 1080Ti right now and want to make this upgrade worthwhile. I've already got over $3k out for a vacation next year so I'm debating REALLY hard if I want to plunk down $600-$1200+ for a new card... Hmm.... I've been in the 3080 Hybrid queue for some time, I think everyone know how that's been going so far. Luckily enough I'm Elite from past purchases alone :) My first purchase was a Geforce 6800 GT, loved that card. APG 8x with a whole 256Mb vram! lol Now we complain because 10 gigs isn't enough (I know 256 and AGP were huge advances at those times ;)).

I anticipate only the air-cooled cards at launch...Hybrid and HCs to follow (hopefully) eventually....
Was on twitter and Jacob said HC maybe around the same day possible, but not yet for hybrid.
