im hoping this doesnt come in over 1500 for the FTW version. I am assuming they are only running the Ultra models? which is what i would want anyways. just need to get elite status now. should have been posting here a long time ago in preparation for the 3080ti which is the only card I wanted since 3080 was launched. I had faith one would appear.
Yes, I would like to know the EVGA lineup prices. Otherwise, I'll settle with the founder's edition of $1200 which is already a steep price in my opinion. $1500 FTW3 is overkill.

I agree. the initial guess of around $1k was a great price point for where this fell considering the performance the 3080 offered at such a reduced price already. 1200 is less appealing of course and anything over that is even more so. Someone said potential MC prices of 2k for Asus and MSI?!??????!!!!

It's also because the customers are willing to spend that much money for a graphics card... You don't need a RTX 30series if you already have a RTX 20series (if you even run demanding games at all). Yet people will queue up overnight in front of stores to get a graphics card just so they get a FPS improvement they'll only see in numbers, not with their own eyes. It's about as crazy as it has been with phones for ages now.

So has anyone seen any benchmarking or hands on videos of these cards yet. I couldnt find anything on youtube, usually they are NDA until its official then they are everywhere. buying blind is pretty dumb and thats what this looks like we will have to do. I want to see thermals and head to heads with 3080s to actually know what we are getting not just 10-12% increase hearsay

Exactly right, It should have stayed at 1k. $1.2 is pushing it! The 3090 is just 300 dollars more for 12 GB of extra VRAM, it may not suit pure gaming but what the heck, it's better overall for future-proofing. And that is ridiculous 2k!? That's insane! Hopefully by tomorrow EVGA updates us on the prices, if not I'm going with the founders.

I've read the TOS under the Elite page and it doesn't mention anything on limitation. But the codes expires after 90 days
