3050 Black was the card I wanted on launch day, but they never opened the queue, so I was an hour late in queuing up at all, and the reason I'm still sitting with my thumb up my... oh I can't say that here? Oh I'm sorry, I've watched too much television...
To be fair, you might not miss out on anything. EVGA might not sell the xc black at all (or in very few quanity) bc they want that sweet sweet $80 markup for the gaming version.

Well, having to remove myself from the xc gaming to get in line for the xc black might have been a mistake but tbh as a non-necessary purchase I can live with it.

For me, this is such a budget card that it's more along the lines of "If I can grab one, great, if not my 1660 Super will continue to suffice in the secondary PC". I'm not placing a lot of faith in my queue for this card anyways but it's nice to be on the list!

Did you enable it in your motherboard's Bios first? Also called SAM.

Hmm, so I currently have an EVGA score of 2 (not in early Jan though, I registered my GTX 1060 to get Elite and previous purchases of GPU from prior years in late Jan and bought a power supply, must have gotten some points for some of that). My score was 0 though but I thought it was supposed to update. Last piece of the puzzle though I bought a 3060 from a notification from Apr 2021 on Jan 7th so I do have a 30 series. But is a score of 2 in the same "tier" as those with 0? Then I would understand that everyone else in my tier would get a chance before me because I have a 30 series purchase, but I would think that having any score would but you in a higher tier than those with no score. So shouldn't I have gotten a notification before anyone with a 0 score? Maybe they haven't shuffled tiers yet for new updated scores?

Looks like we did the same thing! Mine arrived on Tuesday and I replaced her 1050 and started up SCUM the survival game she has been playing and she said wow the walls have textures and I can see the doors. Lol it was a great upgrade!

Funny how no 250$ versions were sold at all
EVGA’s $250 version was available twice on the newegg shuffle. That same version also had an active notify button for an hour last week at EVGA’s webstore. Imagine hundreds (thousands) of people signed up, since it was broadcast on the typical channels and on this forum. Not that an hour is acceptable. Hopefully they send some notifications this week.

They were sold somewhere, I've seen them pop-up (not stock images) in the wild from scalpers as early as last week. No one seems to have posted a notification for it from here though.
