So a few questions. First, will the 3050 be released on the EVGA website on January 27th along with what NVIDIA announced? Second, when can will the part numbers and other information like pricing be available? Lastly, will the 3050 (and also the 3090 Ti) be LHR?

Great glad to hear that a weaker GPU version coming out at scalper prices. It would be nice when you could buy a GPU that costs what the 980ti cost in 2014. But **** now you can get 300 dollars for that eight-year-old GPU thanks to Bitcoin and Scalpers.

Hello, why are you so excited about a new video card? it will be as accessible as the rest of the video cards... none for EU market and a lot for US market :)

Will this card take an FPS hit with RTX-ON? At least it's an affordable option.

Hello, I'm interest for sure at the 3050 if i can get it in 1 month not 1 year. For people in europe when you said the cards will be shipped from taiwan depot, it is means it will be subject to import duties ? or the price at the checkout will be the price you pay to get the card, eventually fees/import duties etc will be on EVGA ?

If the RTX 3050 can perform better than a GTX 1660, it should sell well, since, no one can get that old card below 300 US dollars. I don't expect the EVGA RTX 3050 price to last long if they actually offer the card below 300. I doubt I will get the chance to get one, since when they notified me about the RTX 3060 from their waiting list, the amount of stock was empty less than 4 hours after my notification, so, I don't expect EVGA to fix that inventory problem soon.

The 3050 will give the gaming folks some relief, anyone who needs a GPU replacement and is not looking for a power house GPU like the 80/90 will benefit from the 3050. Glad EVGA came up with the 3050 option.

Price is still going to be ultra high that most "entry" users won't be able to afford. I am going to guess between 600 and 800 MSRP, which is expensive for what this card will be. This is the trend for GPU companies now. Honestly, I am terrified the day my EVGA 1080ti that I paid 800 for in 2018 goes out.

You guys are talking about queues and pricing as if any of that will matter. The problem is still with very slow production. They simply can't manufacture GPUs fast enough because TSMC and Samsung are both filled to capacity. Look at the queue for the 3080 Ti FTW3 Ultra. You were able to add yourself to the waiting list on June 3, 2021. Today, 7 months later, they're still processing orders for people who signed up at 3:24 p.m. Seven months into it, and they're still trying to fill orders from people who signed up on the first day. Maybe by this time next year, they'll be doing people who signed up on the second day.

It isn't slow production. It's dramatically increased demand. Maybe the 3050 will help with demand.

Since NVIDIA is the one who sets the product line, i.e., 3050, then the complaints should go to them. AIBs don't have the option, if they want to continue as AIBs, of declining a product line. We can only hope that there will be some stock forthcoming for those who are interested in the 3050.

They're a nVidia AIB. They don't really have a choice about making the card. Not sure what your complaint is, but if you want one, make sure to queue up early. Or you can join the queue of an alternate AIB.

All depends how your current setup is and how it's fairing with your current GPU. If it's struggling as it is now, you'll most likely need a upgrade. I think you might be ok on 1080p/60 gaming as long as all the load is on the GPU and not the CPU trying to catch up aka bottleneck. fturla If the RTX 3050 can perform better than a GTX 1660, it should sell well, since, no one can get that old card below 300 US dollars. The 1660 should be no match to the RTX 3050. The latter will have DLSS and RT features like the higher GPUs. Granted it won't have the same performance but should be great for 1080p/60 gaming. They have a choice of not hyping up something we cant even buy stop it, its not a nice thing to do. As for as the queue I cant even edit my queue let alone select the cards and that queue will not be open for years anyway.

EVGA is a business. They will be releasing a new product as per their commitment with Nvidia. You will have the same opportunity to buy it as everyone else. Maybe select the top SKU in that product line to have a better chance.

I think 3050 should fall in between 1650 and 1660 Ti. But factoring in the DLSS, performance can be boosted (many of you know this already). I have the 3050 on my laptop (cut-down version) and DLSS helps a lot when playing at high-ultra settings on some games @ 2560x1600. On a side note, 3060 12GB is still available online @ bestbuy as of this writing, in case anyone is looking. Caveat - location-specific and it's expensive. https://www.bestbuy.com/s...454318.p?skuId=6454318

That's awesome to hear the mobile version of the RTX 3050 performs that well. As for the 3060, 12GB seems high for a lower end GPU since the VRAM is mainly needed for higher res which they won't have the power to maintain such high res to begin with so I think it's a waste there. The RTX 3050 is a way better buy starting @ $249 for 1080p/60 gaming imo. Still can't believe how much the RTX 3060s are going for. Source
