DominatorVIP Given that it's not much faster than a GTX-1070, and it's going to cost almost as much as an RTX-3060, I do not think it's going to be worth the effort nor the money for people trying to upgrade from something like a GTX-1050/TI or a 1060. You just don't get enough bang for the buck for the amount you're paying.
Getting one for $250 is the ONLY way its worth it. MAYBE even 299 seeing as 1660ti is still going for 450+ on secondary market.

If I were in the market for 3050, I'd pay no more than $250.

a question for EVGA team - will be in EU store 3050? Or 3050 is a part of Q3.0 and will be available for purchase only in US store?

I might just buy it anyways, and if it doesn't run VR very well, I can just sell it for goodness knows how much in today's market or use the step-up program to get a 3060. Hopefully I get lucky!
The GTX-1050 TI is extremely underrated, and no one can tell me otherwise.

You might want to check Nvidia page for 3050. Doesn't say anything on VR except "-" Would that qualify as TBD or YMMV? lol https://www.nvidia.com/en...ds/30-series/rtx-3050/

VR is just a type of game that just so happens to require higher performance. There's no VR ON or VR OFF feature on a graphics card, if it can handle the game, you are good to go. You could play some good VR games on the 1060 back in the day, and considering the 3050 is slightly better than a 1070, VR will be fine. If you want 120hz max resolution max realism VR gaming? Then the 3050 will choke. Most VR games can be enjoyed with it though depending on your graphics settings of course.

I simply said to check the NVIDIA page because the "Support" verbiage is binary for VR - either Yes or something else. That said, how do you interpret a hyphen?

Depends on for which sku you are talking about. Nobody knows for certain, but the speculation is that once all of the current registrants for a given SKU have been invited to purchase a unit of that SKU, they will open up that card's queue for additional registrations. The 3050 queues should open for registration tomorrow at 6 am PT for Elite members.

The Gaming Swan The 3050 will give the gaming folks some relief, anyone who needs a GPU replacement and is not looking for a power house GPU like the 80/90 will benefit from the 3050. Glad EVGA came up with the 3050 option.
nvidia came up with it EVGA is just partnered with them

I'm hopeful that even though it will match a 1660ti it will not launch at that price and that because the 1660 super/ti are all FHR that keeps them scarce. The only apparent reason this might be short is for scalpers to flip them, rather than miners to hoard them. Not that scalpers has made it any easier to get consoles, but it's still been easier to get those.
