That is indeed 1000D.

Thing is, im expelling air through back and top. Top is through the CPU radiator. Back is through GPU radiator.

If i replace GPU with an air gpu, i could put a few fans on the back, but FTW's fans point up, and im worried that hot air passing through CPU radiator at top would impact CPU temps.

Have you thought of switching direction on the flow through the top radiator.
So that cool air comes through CPU rad, and all the heat goes out the back?

Im using Noctuas, which are great for push, not so much for pull. I feel like i would lose more by swapping to non-noctua pull.

Agh...

Does the radiator not allow you to mount the fans to either side? But static pressure is the big thing when it comes to passing air through a radiator(whether it is push or pull).

Anyone know the length in mm, for the 3090/3080 HydroCopper version?

I have been asking that 3 times in this thread and zero replies from anyone at EVGA.  Hopefully with more people asking they will let us know.

So Evga...do you know the length of the 3080/3090 Hydro's?

Thanks!

That looks like a Corsair 1000D. Personally I don't see the FTW3 as an issue because it looks like you have at least 12 fans in that chassis. So long as your setup is expelling hot air through the back you'll be fine in my opinion.

One potential solution, while I'm personally an all rad fan as exhaust out of the case kind of person, is to reverse the fans on the top rad and have them intake the heat down into the case and out of the back 140mm fan where your GPU rad formerly was. This will affect your chipset, memory and motherboard temps though, but it's worth considering as the GPU heat will not be exiting through the CPU rad.

Hello,

I'm sorry if this was already answered.

I'm interested by the EVGA RTX 3080 Hydro Copper or XC3.
Does anyone know how many pins it will use? The Hybrid picture looks weird, looks like they are 2 cables inserted.
I'm confused. Someone care to explains to a noob like me?

I'm gonna replace my sweet GTX 1080 Ti for a RTX 3080 and always going with EVGA :)

Thank you !

If I remove the shroud are there fan mounting bits that stick up from the primary heatsink that would interfere with attaching my own 25mm fans?

Do you have a link that shows or talks about that.  I did not know looking at the site that the Hydro will come in both FTW3 and XC3 variants.  If the FTW3 has 3 8pins power connectors it should be able to go faster/clock higher.

I'd really like to buy an EVGA 3080 FTW3, it's a shame that there is zero information about pricing and availability.
It seems that the only model available on the 17th of September will be the XC3, at least from I can I see from the different online shops in EU/UK.

Sorry if this has been asked already.

Do any of EVGA's 3080s use reference PCB designs?

I want to water cool and the water blocks say they work only with reference PCB designs.

"This block is made for reference PCB 3080 and 3090 cards. Founders Edition does NOT have a reference PCB."

We know that XC3 is reference design, we have info from Jacob at EVGA that the HydroCopper variants are FTW3 PCB. I think only these two will be available at launch.

Do you happen to have a link to the source for this?  Thanks in advance.

Seems like I am one of the few that like the design of both of the 3090 versions. The backplate looks great in terms of air flow exhaust too. Definitely continuing to stick with EVGA

It wasn't really an issue with my GTX 970 which had memory on both sides, this probably will be hotter, but if they were really worried they would have put the waterblock on both  sides of the pcb

Thanks that kinda relief my worries

Hi Lee!  I am asking specifically regarding EVGA's own cards, that is if y'all are allowed to say yet. I saw EVGA's full range product page but prices weren't listed yet.

q5sys
I think he was asking if AIB cards, EVGA specifically, will start at lower prices than the FE card prices that Nvidia announced today, because that has been the case with previous generations.  But I'm going to guess that's something EVGA doesn't want to disclose at this point.

Yeah, sorry guys.  No pricing details yet.  I wouldn't expect that until the on-shelf day that NVIDIA announced.

It seems also Nvidia will be releasing a 3080 Ti later this year.
https://www.techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/geforce-rtx-3080-ti.c3581

Guess if I have trouble snagging a 3090 FTW3 holding out for the 3080 Ti model might not be so bad and save a few bucks.

Would make 0 sense releasing it two weeks later, otherwise theyd just launch it day 1.

Well except they don't control when day 1 is.
Any delay on the production of the coolers and you could be 2w late with no way to fix it :-)

If you physically damage the card then your video card might be out of warranty.
