Judging by previous releases it's been about 150 more than MSRP of the cards, the 2080ti FTW3 was 1349.99 and the MSRP of the 2080ti was 1199.99. So probably something in the 850-900 range if I had to guess! Since the 3080 MSRP is 699.99

Having spoken to Gibbo at OCUK on the forum he's saying the following when I asked him about the hybrid cards;

"EVGA is a big unknown really as they are far less pro active in U.K. market these days unfortunately so now we just rely on U.K. distribution."

Seems a pretty clear indicator confirming as before the hybrid isn't something to bother looking for on the 17th, would just be nice to have some kind of timeframe prepared to be able to look forward to.....

Also EVGA give our UK distro channels some love please!  We love you here too!

Sorry if this has been asked before, but will the 3080/90 Hydro Copper be available in Australia? The 2080 super and ti models are pretty hard to come by, if not shipped from the US. Thank you!

EVGA already confirmed that Hybrid, Hydro and KingPin will come later. Launch will only include XC3 and FTW3.

I wonder, EVGA squad, can anyone confirm if like the 20 series the hybrid cooler will be sold separately too so I can pick myself up an FTW3 at launch and upgrade it later? I'm not sure how long I can wait for this upgrade.... I'm getting beyond tired of this 770.....

So Nvidia says for the RTX 3090 750 Watt PSU and two dedicated 8 Pin. Xtreme PSU Calculator gives 600 Watt for a 3700x + RTX 3090.

Is there any suggestion already for EVGA RTX 3090/3080 cards?

Thank you!

Jacob here said "Probably, but TBD." for the same question. I plan to do the same quite frankly, cannot wait Hybrid to come out couple of months.

Ahh sweet, whilst its not my preferred way and no guarantees of anything, worst case im sure nzxt will pull through with a g12 replacement if push comes to shove worst case scenario.

The fact partner cards look almost identical and it'll be an asetek aio in the kit, my money is on compatibility being highly likely anyway! looks like im buying the air cooled to get out the gate! :D

17th has been given as a hard date by UK vendor. Dispatch / delivery is another conversation.

Which model of 3090 from evga is reference?

Is this for a waterblock question?  EVGA said not to assume any are reference, or something to that effect, and still always clarify with the block maker.  But XC3 is the supplied, non custom, board from nvidia it seems.

No, but I would imagine Baseline at 900 USD.  If you're in anotjer country factor in your taxes and then convert.  But of course, it also depends on the bin.  So it could be less. The 2080 Super only had a +30 clock, like I have seen a lot of other partners have so far for the 3080, and it was around 800.

Thanks for all the info so far. Could we please get confirmation on what "2.2 slot" and "2.75 slot" means in actual measured dimensions? Will it utilize a 3-slot IO backplate, or a 2-slot? And for the width within the case, how does "2.2" and "2.7" translate into MM for the total thickness of the card (PCB with all fans, heatsinks, etc.)?

Thank you!

I/O bracket for all models is a 2-slot bracket.  This will allow for a slightly wider card to fit in cases that some people had difficulty with on the 20-Series 2.75 slot cards.

Thickness of the 3090/3080 XC3 models with backplate (XC3 Ultra/XC3) is 1.78in. - 45.1mm.
Thickness of the 3090/3080 XC3 models without backplate (XC3 Black) is 1.61in. - 40.9mm.

Thickness of the 3090/3080 FTW3 models with backplate (i.e. all of them) is 2.19in. - 55.55mm.
Thickness of the 3090/3080 FTW3 models without backplate (manually remove) is 2.02in. - 51.35mm.

@EVGATech_leeM, you only mention the thichnesses on the 3090 and 3080. Is the 3070 same?

Timing and cost on 3080 Hybrid pls?

Prime assumption right now is go for £649 Founders Card, so clock is ticking.

I've been asking over and over on that, I'm going to bet longer than I'm prepared to wait regardless of cost so buying the ftw3 sans hybrid, the hybrid coolers Jacob confirmed on twitter he expects to be sold later on separately to upgrade, its all in this thread, have a gander back through for direct links to the tweet etc

Yeah 21 pages though,

I recall the 1080ti Hybrid was a long wait from the release of the reference design. I'm not doing that again. Great card, still is but the wait was unneccesary in the end.

I'm gonna take a gander and say the  3080 Hybrid wont come out until sometime October and probably will cost anywhere from 859$~999$ I say this because this time around Hybrids are utilizing 240 Rads instead of the usual 120 Rads. At this point you might as well buy whatever 3080 you can get your hands on if time is of the essence. I personally will be waiting for that King Pin.

Yeah the more people ask the same questions without looking, the more pages we get, and the less people are willing to look.
Weird how that works ;-)

I think October is generous based on leaks that this initial batch of chips is all that Nvidia is making until January until they know the yields from Samsung. I wouldn't be surprised if hybrid and hydrocopper are a January or later release.

why no pre orders? Tom from MLD was right:qty is extremely limited. Samsung with its 8nm failed.

Apparently someone from EVGA tweeted october-ish.
The yield doesn't really matter tbh.

Whatever stock they have they can assign 10% of it to be HydroCopper if they want to.

Really? I mean Nvidia said their own cooler is already a $150 cooler or something, also their PCB is quite complicated. I'm not going to spend €1000 on a FTW3 if the founders will cost only €719 even with amazing warranty. €849 tops.

Wow, great source backing up what you’re saying.

Oh wait. Please stop perpetuating bogus rumors. We have literally no official information about stock levels.

For all we know it’s just a sales tactic.

I mean, there likely are stock shortages for the 3xxx cards because there are stock shortages for pretty much every consumer electronic right now. The vast majority of the world's transistor foundries are in southeast Asia, which got absolutely mollywhopped by COVID19 and production essentially halted for months.

That's not a failure of the die process really, just the reality of the impact of a global pandemic.
