jdobson75 Are these going to be using Super Flower internals?
The G6 is a Seasonic OEM.
I just bought a Seasonic Focus PX-850W Platinum. Based on my comparison of the Seasonic 750W Platinum vs the Seasonic 850W Gold via Tomshardware's reviews, it seemed to me that these two PSUs have nearly identical wattage efficiencies. I wonder how close wattage efficiencies are between my 850W Platinum and the G6 1000W Gold?

No idea. Guess you’ll have to wait for a review.

I currently have a 750W G3 (220-G3-0750-X1), but am thinking of upgrading to 850W G6 (220-G6-0850-X1) for a 3080 Ti. For clarification, and because it is not mentioned on the compatibility page (last updated in February), is this PSU compatible with the cables that came with the 750W G3? I imagine it probably is as there exists no separate cable bundle available on EVGA's site for the new G6 line, but I am not going to make assumptions when it comes to power cables.

I went from a 750 G2 -> 1KW G6, just unplugged all my cables from the G2, plugged them into the G6 and she's been purring. Can't imagine the G3 cables would be any different.

While they are more expensive, being compatible with G2,G3, Etc cabling makes it worth it to some owners of the older G series not having to re-run all their wires or purchase new ones if they have custom cables. Plus after using an associates code discount, it’s close enough that I wouldn’t think twice about the cost difference.

I agreed that it’s more convenient for people with older units, but if you’re buying a new PSU, you’re probably willing to reroute the cables anyway. Besides, EVGA power supplies have taken a dive since the G3 lineup. Corsair RMx is so good that it’s hard to recommend anything else unless they are cheaper somehow

Seasonic PSUs that were made before 2018 had issues with current gen GPUs. They couldn’t handle the spikes on NVIDIA cards even though people used the recommended wattage per NVIDIA’s instructions. Since they refreshed their PSUs, it’s fixed now, but who knows what issues might be there with next gen cards.

Hi all! My first post! I'm struggling to find these for sale in Europe (EU, specifically Iberia but anywhere that will ship here I'd be good). Only place they seem to have been available was Amazon DE, but they're temporarily out of stock. I'm particularly looking for that 1000W version, since it's not only the most compact (140mm) 1000W there seems to be - all Seasonics for instance are at 150mm+, some 160, even on the Prime/plat/titanium lines - the G6 also seem to be the only 140mm with 4 (850W) and 5 PCIe (1000W) connectors. Seasonic/Corsair only have this on the Prime line, which is, once again, much larger. I really need this for my dual graphics setup with an FTW3 (3 connectors) and an XC3 (2), which I want to run with individual cables instead of pigtails. Also, the price is absolutely bonkers, if it's in line with Amazon DE's (temporarily out of stock) prices: 157e for the 1000W! I noticed the Platinum line (P6) is launching soon, but given the G6 has been announced (and apparently available somewhere...) since late May, it's weird that I can't find them available in Europe.

I got my 1000 P6 last week and it is really nice. Replaced a Corsair RM1000x which was almost twice as long. Quiet operation, compact, and solid. I really like the split PCIE cables. Made for clean bundle when routing.
