Just wondering if anyone has any strange in game habits? For example, Whenever i play a RPG, i have to try and have my inventory items at multiples of 5. Drives me crazy if they are'nt. I've spent many an hour grinding for 1 extra item of something just to get it up to a multiple of 5.

I have a bunch. One of them is that I always have to allign my mouse pad perfectly before I launch a game. In that specific order aswell. I also grind items that are easily obtainable. Like the first few hours of Zelda breath of the wild I was cutting down trees with bombs

I can't really think of any in-game habits, but a habit I do have regarding games probably would avoiding pre-ordering any game that has that pre-order bonus which provides extra stats/resources. Every time I see that kind of pre-order bonus, I instantly just stop thinking of pre-ordering and just wait for release date

Then you get to the final boss/stage and realise you now have too many of said items and you probably should have used them during the rest of the game.

Yeah I am an in game hoarder. I always saving it thinking I might need it for a "tougher spot" and end up having such a surplus by the end of the game its a waste. Bethesda games absolutely wreck me because you can pick up EVERYTHING.

It's hard not to do it. Even if I've played a game.multiple times and I k ow what's coming, I'll still hoard items until the end of the game.

I push my keyboard around and constantly reposition it. I only stop when I'm really focused. I don't know where it came from but it's strange as hell.

Yeah i Think it takes the fun out of a game if you use a system or build that breaks the game in some way. Ok for subsequent playthroughs but not the first time.

I have a tendency to try to explore every single part of a map before progressing the story or to the next area. This usually makes me burn out of games as I turn it into too much of a grind to make sure I see every corner.

I'm cut from the same cloth I guess. Everything has to be perfectly squared up, mouse pad, keyboard, my chair when I'm on the TV.

Collect everything and have a bit of everything just to not use 98% of anything that I picked up. Especially in Souls games, but tbf a lot of people had a similar experience.

My new habit is to ignore side quests and burn thru main quest only. Use up all consumables like there's no tomorrow. Really helps with getting thru the notorious 'Back Log'.

I have to explore every nook and cranny in case I miss an item or miss out on any sliver of lore. I have to speak with every NPC multiple times in case I miss any tiny piece of dialog. Also once I finish a game's main quest line, all motivation for working on any side quests just evaporates. I'm just done at that point.

Yeah I do that as well. Lots of heavy weapons and ammo saved for "when I need it" and end up mopping things up with a pistol. I mean a heavily upgraded pistol with incendiary ammo maybe but still a pistol

Skyrim is a great example of this. It's also why i've never beaten the main story of Skyrim (blasphemy i know). I'm trying to force myself not to do it in Horizon Zero Dawn currently. Constant battle! I love doing it in games like Fable and the Mana series though!

I've never finished the main quest in a single Bethesda open world game. Oblivion, Skyrim, Fallout 3, Fallout New Vegas, Fallout 4. None of them. I love them but just get burnt out trying to do everything for everyone.
