Yeah I do feel that fast travel takes away from the experience a bit. Especially in games where you are just bouncing from NPC to NPC chatting and delivering items. That being said I do not have the patience for ignoring it either. At a certain point I'll just zip around.

I like to look for exploity mechanics.
If you can trap a boss in one spot for example, I think it's weird not to use that advantage.

Taking all the grubs/worms/leeches in the barrels in Sea of Thieves so I can fish,...not a lot of people actively/purposely fish in the game. Sometimes that's all I do. LOL

I have to get all my COD dailies done every day... There is one in Cold War that takes days and every time it pops up it chips another piece of my soul off ( No Fly Zone... WORST daily mission ever !!!)

Yeah I am an in game hoarder. I always saving it thinking I might need it for a "tougher spot" and end up having such a surplus by the end of the game its a waste. Bethesda games absolutely wreck me because you can pick up EVERYTHING.
It's hard not to do it. Even if I've played a game.multiple times and I k ow what's coming, I'll still hoard items until the end of the game.
Yea this is probably one habit that I didn't think of. With games that deal with resource management, I always try to hoard as much stuff as I can, just because I hate feeling like I'm running out of resources, it makes me feel like I've partially failed in some way while playing this game, or just gave me more trouble for later on

Pre-Game: i rub "Cornhuskers Lotion" into my hands. gives my mouse hand more of a tackyfied grip. nothing too crazy, not like Cramer "Firm Grip". they probly don't even make that stuff anymore.
In-Game (involuntarily): i'm 59 and i play CS:GO (silver 2 with 3,200 hours). i get tremors in my mouse hand now - due to being amped in-game and my age - so i randomly fire off shots accidentally, which can give away my position. it's sort of disappointing because ive played cs for 20 years.

My in game habit, re-loading constantly. I do not know why I do it sometimes does more harm than good, but based on what I see this is probably a common one. I try not to have any food next to me when gaming, it is too easy to over eat also, so that is 2 in-game habits.

Not unusual but reloading on 99% ammo. This absolutely kills me in games where ammo is just a number, i.e. squad or something.
I tend to put my legs up on my desk, so my arms are between them when playing RTS since I don't have to click super fast or anything probably my weirdest habit.
