Hi, this is my first thread here, and I'm having major issues with my computer. You can read about it here: (Turns out I need to make 30 posts before I can add a link.). I'm trying to perform a clean install of Windows 10. Currently my computer can't find the operating system and it can't detect my bootable USB drive. The USB drive works on other computers. I was told to try to turn off secure boot, but I'm not seeing an option for that in the EVGA boot settings. I curently have my boot sequence as:
(1) USB KEY(2) USB HARD DISK(3) USB FLOPPY(4) USB CD/DVD: HL-DT-STDVDRAM GP65NB60 PF00(5) CD/DVD(6) HARD DISK: WDC WD10EZEX-08WN4A0 (Other places on the system have P2 in place of "HARD DISK.")(7) NETWORK(8) UEFICan anyone help me in my situation?

    Which motherboard do you have?

You might try changing UEFI boot to Legacy boot first.  Secure Boot is generally an option towards the bottom off the Boot menu on EVGA boards.  You may need to scroll down to see more options.

My motherboard is a EVGA Z97 Classified part number: 152-HR-E979-KR
In my EVGA boot tab, there are four options: CSM Configuration, Security, Hard Disk Drive BBS Priorities, and USB CD/DVD ROM Drive BBS Priorities. Security just lets me set up the Administrator password and the User password. The options under CSM Configuration are:
    Launch CSM
    Boot option filter
    Launch PXE OpROM policy
    Launch Storage OpROM policy
    Launch Video OpROM policy
    Other PCI device ROM priority

The two priority options only list one of the detected drives and whether or not to disable it as 1st boot.

I'm not seeing anything about secure boot. Would it be the Launch CSM option? That's the only one that uses "enable" and "disable."

First thing I would do is turn off Fast Boot if it's on (on is default)..That can cause bootable flash drives to be bypassed/go undetected..If the flash drive isn't in the list of boot devices, it may be in the Hard Disk Drive BBS Priorities where you can select it.

"Fast Boot On/Off: Enabling Fast boot will make the initial post/boot slightly faster by bypassing the boot device check and using last boot HDD." - BIOS Guide Page 31

    Thanks for the info.

So it turns out that my problem was that my flash drive was somehow being messed up during the process of trying to re-install Windows earlier. Using a new flash drive to create a bootable USB fixed that problem of my computer not finding an operating system.

So It turns out the problem may not have been the flash drive as it works on a different computer, and I got the flash drive to read again after using a USB splitter as a mediator. My computer is just being picky about which device it'll read from (This includes hard drives). Since then the problem has only snowballed, so I created a new thread with updated information. I'd post a link, but I haven't made the necessary number of posts to unlock link posting, so here's the title of the thread instead: "EVGA Z97 Classified Motherboard Problems & Issues with Bios Update 2.06."
