Mostly it seems in GPU intensive games. If i play a game such as league its not as frequent maybe 1 every 10-20 times. Sometimes none.

Definitely sounds like some unstable gpu's. Report back when you can.

So i started with league and figured id try a more intensive game (Overwatch). It unfortunately crashed even while the card was underclocked. :(

You said both of your cards have the issue. Were both of the cards tested in the same pci-e slot with the same pci-e power cables? If yes, try another pci-e slot with a different set of pci-e power cables.

I am having the same issues. I believe the issues are with my nzxt hale 1000 watt power supply. I am going to game tonight and am logging the voltages and data with hwinfo. I originally thought it was a finicky card not liking stock clocks, but underclocking does not help either. The issue seems to have gotten worse, But I really only game in the winter mostly. I though it also could have been my samsung wonder ram was overclocked but putting that back to 1600 mhz  from 2400mhz did not help. PC has been rebuilt with windows 7 x64 a while ago and this did not help either.
I'm going to try and adjust the pci-e version in the bios also.
pci-e link state power management is off. I did notice the Asrock formula drive took over my power profile. So I reapplied it to the High performance just now.

i5-3570k oc to 4ghz unparked cores.
16gb samsung wonder ram oc to 2400mhz (back to 1600 for now)

lian li- pc A77F(lots of fans)
3 samsung 245bw monitors 1920x1200"two in need of repair in the closet." still no tri-monitor setup
7 platter drives.

If it works with two different PCI-E cables and if the previous ones still cause the problem contact the PSU manufacturer if you are still under warranty.

Well its been 6 days and ive done extensive testing with no issues, which makes me believe it was either the pci-e slot or the cables ill but the new cables seem to be working!
