John, didn't have a chance to the linx test for you yet.  Tonight I was benching 06 with 2x295's and temps stayed @-26C, which is what they were for vantage single card.  06 doesn't really produce the heat like vantage.  I know you knew that already, and I'll be sure to run linx for you bro.

33,924.  4.9Ghz.  One more notch up on the blck gives outrageous frames, but I have to figure out how to get past the CPU tests first.  I'm figuring it will produce a 34,500ish score.

Sweet. Can't wait to see some pics/results!

Although I'm probably gonna go for the F1.

@Nate what do you think of the Corsair Dominator GT 7-8-7-20 2000Mhz kit? Was looking at it and it's actually sort of competitive price wise now..

Halo, F1 isn't the best any more. Most people in the sub zero overclocking world now consider Otternase's pots to the best, especially for i7's. I don't know the price on them though...

Otternase's Xtreme pots cost over $400, and are strictly for LN2, he did make a killer square pot for DICE, but I'm not sure if he would make one especially for you. He usually just does some production runs after the orders accumulate.

Duniek makes good pots, but he can my flaky sometimes. He is really bad about keeping in contact, and it can take several PM's\Emails to get him to respond. I ordered a pot from him but it never arrived. I didnt have a problem getting a refund though. I now have my hands on a Duniek pot that I got second hand from Vokl and its great for DICE.

I haven't had any problems as far as contact with him, but we'll see with this next pot.

Things are dead around here these days!?

Anyone ever have a picture quality issue related to the sli bridge connector?  Seems when I'm running quad sli with the connector, the pic on 3d tests is bad quality.  Kind of looks like lower bit colors.  Happens both overclocked and completely stock, and both sub zero and just below room temp.  Both GPU's in single card mode look great.  Only when I have the sli connector on.

I changed sli bridges a few times, no deal.  I don't know if it may have something to do with the eraser around the sli connector area.  It doesn't mix well with vaseline....not well at all...looses its texture and becomes a sticky mess.  It is getting on the connectors...I cleaned it off with alcohol, but still bad pic.

Any ideas?

yeah Q. that happen to me a few times with my 295's

to get it right....while the screen is up changing colors and all...barely move the sli cable until the colors are correct. now the machine will more than likely lockup, but if you get the colors right before it does....then it should hold through reboot.

what seems to be going on is the connector is not making good contact with the gold pins...it's what i gathered any way...and that was my quick work around when it did it.

no problem Q. you know how we do..
yep, i seen him. these cards are proving to be quite nice indeed. and im like you...holding out for dual gpu cards.
i think i'll grab me a 980x next month or so. then ill be able to move right back up in the top 5 for 5970's...i have the highest non ln2 gpu score 33.3k
so with the 980, i should be able to get pretty damn close to top of the list for the 5970
