Recently I noticed that my system hasn't been giving me its all. I've noticed a huge drop in FPS but didn't quiet know what it was. I was finally able to uninstall both cards and test them individually and found one is not performing at where it should be. I ran 3DMark Vantage to get a comparison of the two cards.

Card 1:
GPU Test 1 - 29.70
GPU Test 2 - 27.21
CPU Test 1 - 2413.44
CPU Test 2 - 22.21

Card 2:
GPU Test 1 - 53.93
GPU Test 2 - 54.14
CPU Test 1 - 2420.13
CPU Test 2 - 22.30

Does this look like an RMA for one of the cards? What are some other programs to use/test each card?

I'm curious (never seen it happen, so not sure if it works the same way), is it possible that one of/both of the GPUs are throttling like a CPU does from the heat?

thats weird, ones running at 576 core and ones running at 602 core, try clocking them all to exactly the same speed

    Hi xempt,
I just duplicated your problem after I noticed you were running a newer version of the OC Scanner. I only downloaded and installed version 1.7.4 a few week ago (on the 7th) and everything worked fine. But of course I have to have the very latest of everything so I downloaded and installed (after uninstalling v. 1.7.4) v. 1.8.0, the version you are running and got the same problem you were/are getting. So it's obviously a software problem.

Try uninstalling version 1.8.0 and installing the old v. 1.7.4 and see what happens.

Or... I just noticed that there's a newer version 2xxx something or other and you may want to try that instead of going backwards.

    Good luck.
    Bob.

I think your primary card is underclocking itself for some reason, usually this happens after your drivers quit responding/recover.

I've already done that. I used a whole can of air between the 2 cards just to make sure they were cleared out.

EVGA is going to RMA my card though, I just need to find that damn invoice...

UPDATE: I RMA'd my card and EVGA sent me back another 295 in return. I installed in my system everything was fine, opened up the Nvidia Control Panel and set my system back to SLI, once again everything was fine. Restarted my system and now only one card shows up.

What is the deal with that?

right click, nvidia control panel, system info. looks like you had a card die or maybe try a older Driver if your using the new beta driver from 12/21/11
