Or just put a kraken on a classified. That is what I am doing. You get the dual bios, better voltage and power delivery and also better performance than hybrid.

EVGA Hybrid series is best cooler for graphic card on the world after custom loop. Better to say and Best aftermarket GPU cooler. Everything is on place, low temps, space for OC, easy installation, nice look, GTX980Ti and TITAN X with Hybrid cooler are completely different graphic cards. But Classified in combination with new EKWB Predator is cool as well.

The Kingpin would be better if they make a block for it.

K|NGP|N this last model is best of all three. They work really hard on every detail. You can feel almost their effort to card work best possible. Really such card deserve waterblock, special water block, with engraved fonts and logo K|NGP|N. That's nothing complicate for EKWB... Only to show respect for such premium hardware.

I dislike the idea of making hardware changes. EVGA covers lots and lots of things in software, but hardware is where the lines start blurring. I'm perfectly fine not getting that extra 10 or 12% extra performance I'd have with the classy. The Hybrid comes out of the box already overclocked to hell, and since it's liquid cooled, I should be able to push it a bit more, but even if I can't, I wont fret.

Sure hybrid makes sense if you don't already have the cards. For me I already had the classifieds and am now putting the kraken on them.

May I ask why you are touching the card while using it? What section of the plate is getting hot? The VRM (power connection end), Memory, or Core area? With the vrm and memory, there is only passive cooling on the card. The fans move air across them, but they aren't displacing the heat like the main cooler for the core is with heat pipes, so the heat will transfer while it is being used. There are some small thermal pads under the backplate as well, that sit around the core to transfer a little of the heat, but that doesn't change much honestly.

Whether it makes sense to change the mobo for bigger sli gap (80mm instead of 60)? Rationally thinking 2cm shouldn't make any big difference, at least not as much as no gap vs 2cm gap. Maybe some of you have made such tests in the past? I'm thinking about changing the mobo from z87 mpower to z97 xpower for those 2cm ... but only if it will have significant (5+ degrees) impact on top card. In the other hand why invest money on old platform when I can switch for skylake or haswell-e. That's a pitty that means also new memory. I'm almost sure my next sli cards will be hybrids or custom loop...these beasts are just too hot.

Me to I will go on Hybrid or EKWB Predator. Yesterday I thought to sell H100 I have buyer and to order H110i GT... Than I thought... Wait. First lets see EKWB Predator. If I buy him I will not have problem to pay for waterblock same money as Hybrid. I install EVGA Sleeve cables, remove whole Front I/O panel out of case... Now I turn on PC on mobo switch, but inside of case I have 1/2 cables only and it's not problem to open I have nice doors on 650D and because of them I mostly decide to stay on that case until I cross on smaller size for 3-4 years. Now I only need to resolve graphic card and cooling... OK after that installation of new SSD will be easy.

Ok this Classy with an ASIC of 64% just scored 19119 in fire strike with just 1.25v "underwater" with an old EK 980 WB. Got me to #1 with a 5930 cpu, 1 gpu/ similar system and #95 in the HOF for single gpu. My second card will be here Wednesday.

That's not 19.000 score, your score is 22.000 almost. Incredible result... Your GTX980Ti Classified are really powerful card. 150MHz over 190MHz fabric clock. CONGRATS. You can probably with good cooling to play games nicely on 1250MHz base clock. I would instantly order EKWB Classy water block for so good sample and EKWB Predator 360.

i m using the oc bios posted by kingpin and the evbot. with every voltage that i set the temperature are 56° under stress. i can't go higher than 1512/8000. i think that there is something that cap the voltage. if i set 1.35 with the evbot on default setting under stress there is no temperature increase

The 980's and 980ti have both reacted the same. Voltage doesn't scale at all or change temperatures. Are you measuring with a multimeter, since software isn't correct? GPU-Z reads close, but is still wrong.

gpuz always display 1.2. Ab the same. the temperature are always the same. from evbot i setted 1.35 but the temperature are always the same. because at 1.2v 1512/8000 i do 17300point in fire strike with 22300point of GS. but with 1.35, from evbot, i can t go over 1512. it s really strange. i think that this vga is 1.2v locked

I can only ask this again... Are you using a digital multimeter or not? If not, you need to check it with a digital multimeter. The 980ti does not scale with voltage. My cards never get hotter when I apply more voltage either.. Running the 980 KPE, at 1.4v I was able to get 35mhz more than without voltage, and that was verified with a multimeter.

Does changing the thermal paste into Gelid Extreme on 980Ti Classy have any significant temperature impact? Right now after hot days ends my top card is throthling only 50-70mhz, so couple degrees will be a salvation. Do you think it is worth trying it with stock cooling and having 2cm sli gap?

These cards run warm on air n with the "acx 2.0 advantage" they advertise. I am running two on a Sabertooth x99 board, running a little more aggressive fan profile after a couple hours playing bf4 in 1440p with +200 resolution scale and a mix or ultra and high the top card will run at 73-75. The second card with this motherboard is a huge sli gap and it runs in the 55-60. I've precision x I can set the target to temp and set it to 70 and it does a pretty good job but it makes the gpu clock jump all over the place making bf4 jerk every now and then. If I set it to target core its steady but requires a little more aggressive fan profile.

Patience, patience... soon doctor coming to cool down hot processors and graphic cards, or both in same time... ACX 2.0 is good for one card and for reference clock or SC, and it's good for testing card stability before connection on proper cooling solutions...

I've precision x I can set the target to temp and set it to 70 and it does a pretty good job but it makes the gpu clock jump all over the place making bf4 jerk every now and then. If I set it to target core its steady but requires a little more aggressive fan profile.
I can see that Your x99 Sabertooth has same sli gap when first two pci-ex slots used as mine Mpower (6cm). Are you using firts two slots or at the very bottom one? What case do you have? Any side panel fan installed? What do you mean by aggressive fan profile (more than 70% speed)? I know this is a lot of questions but your temperatures looks really nice and I really want to figure out how to have such.
