jk0520 Does anyone know why PX and AB are not adjusting the Classified's voltage? Nothing goes above 1.200v (checked with a DMM). +12 or +50, it doesn't matter, voltage just says at 1.200v. Is this an error with the BIOS or with the software? Altering the voltage with Classified Controller does raise the voltage (shown on the DMM, but not in PX). Using Overboost shows the card using more voltage, however, as soon as it hits load, the card is going back down to 1.200v (both on the DMM and in PX).
I have the exact same issue.

Probably because the Classy software was created for old Classy... It will likely be updated sometime soon.

With all the talk/discussions/disagreements about ASIC% scores I have been reading about that are posted in the EVGA Forums, I thought showing an additional FYI Fact (only pertaining to a Benchmarking perspective) that even using an inferior run-of-the-mill 72.7% ASIC 980 Ti Classified that originally wouldn't do more than 1500MHz at the 1200mv stock voltage on Air or Water cooling without crashing attempting to finish a Fire Strike Benchmark, Still Managed with no increased GPU voltage adjustments to gain 55MHz more (1555MHz) at the same stock 1200mv just by going a little Colder on the GPU using an old 180W Load ASETEK Vapochill Phase Change which was used to further cool the GPU down to -16C at idle before running the Benchmark and operated around +9C to +11C during the GPU Tests on a Fire Strike Benchmark. Just wanted to show that even though as stated the 980 Ti series (regardless of varying ASIC% scores) doesn't respond to voltage increases on air cooling much more than the Stock 1200mv, But will respond in increased MHz with lower Colder temps on the GPU at that same voltage. Personally, I MAINLY only build my Rigs for Benching purposes to try and attain the highest scores in Futuremark and HWBot competitions and do manage some Gaming on my second Rig, But that is set up for using either standard air or water cooling which limits the GPU Overclocks that are obtainable (That is if you don't happen to have one of the new KPE's! LOL) Someday when I get around to finally installing my Kingpin Tek-9 FAT 6.0 Pot and start using DICE or possibly LN2 cooling with this inferior(?) Classified, The GPU MHz is bound to go even higher at that same stock 1200mv setting, Along with the ability for using higher voltages under sub-zero cooling methods. I'm Sure the More technically advanced (and more expensive) 980Ti Classified Kingpin will undoubtedly respond to an even Higher MHz with sub-zero cooling (Which is the ONLY reason I want one), and that is why I want to purchase one when they become available again ASAP, But in the meantime I'll keep experimenting with sub-zero cooling with this much cheaper Classified instead just to see if any other problems arise before I'll start the same testing/modifying on a $1K+ KPE.

Yeah, Just some Experimentation to gain more info For what it's worth. The whole point was just to show as Vince stated that Maxwell doesn't scale well on air/water (980 Ti KPE excluded) until you get the temps down below +20C while running under Load.

Once again just to show the effects of Temps Colder than +20C under Load on Maxwell, I managed to reach 1590MHz at the Stock GPU Voltage of 1200mv on a 72.7% ASIC 980 Ti Classified and Finish a Fire Strike Benchmark without Crashing.

Thanks, I would have had a higher Fire Strike score if I had also Overclocked the Memory, But I left it at the Stock settings because I was just seeing how high the GPU would reach first using Colder Temps. When I used this same cooling method on my Titan X and Overclocked the Memory, I had a Score of 20633 in Fire Strike, But the Full-Blown GM200 Titan X responds to voltage scaling differently than the "Gimped" 980 Ti series chip.

steponz Don't put the Kingpin bios on that card.. They have different types of memory. 980ti Classfied = Hynix 980ti Kingpin = Samsung There is a bios over at Kingpincooling.com for the 980TI Classified by Kingpin. Here's the link
Nice card by the way... Very high Asic also.. ;)
Thanks a million!

Well, Not Too Bad for a 72.7% ASIC Classified that reaches 1583MHz/2001Mhz STILL at 1200mv Stock Voltage. I'm beginning to think there might be Hope for this so-called "Inferior" card Yet. Now if I can just get a little more out of the Memory.........

Definitely jelly of those with high ASIC scores... lucky bastards LN2 mode fixed a lot of my issues. 1480/7800Mhz 1.2v 70-75c stable. I could reach that on the normal bios, but I would get constant downclocks due to the voltage going all over the place. Now things are rock solid. At 70.7% ASIC, that is a decent result. I never realized how much an effect the silicon lottery has.

That's about what I was getting originally with my 72.7% ASIC card on either Air or Water Cooling before I found I could go to Much Higher OC's when using close to or at Sub-Zero Cooling Methods, Mainly for Overclocking/Benchmarking purposes.

Damn, these low ASIC scores are crazy. For those that have been in this game for a long time, does the "silicon lottery" usually have this big of a distribution?

I have 70% ASIC and Max I can do is 1524/7800 or 1501/8200 in benching. In gaming it usually throttles to 1492/8000 as stable.
So ASIC meaning something is still debatable. A guy has ASIC of 71% on classified and can't add 30 to the core before card crashes. If you can get 1500 on the core card is good. ASIC doesn't matter as much.
To answer the question, yes I have seen ASIC distribution between 50-85 on 970s, 780s and 670s but it didn't mean anything. Just like now, it rarely means much.
